predict lmer
Hi,
I am using lmer to analyze habitat selection in wolverines using the
following model:
(me.fit.of <-
lmer(USED~1+STEP+ALT+ALT2+relM+relM:ALT+(1|ID)+(1|ID:TRKPT2),data=vdata,
control=list(usePQL=TRUE),family=poisson,method="Laplace"))
Here, the habitat selection is calaculated using a so-called discrete
choice model where each used location has a certain number of

SSH connection hang after upgrade
I recently had to upgrade my version of OpenSSH from 4.7 to 5.0p1 on my
MacBook (Darwin). I installed the latest 'portable' tarball and
removed the system version:
$ ssh -V
OpenSSH_5.0p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7l 28 Sep 2006
$ which ssh
/usr/bin/ssh
sshd is the same version, installed in /usr/sbin/sshd. Now, things are
a bit broken: I am able to ssh from another machine into my MacBook,

Microsoft CRM 4.0 integration with asterisk
Hello !
I am wondering if anyone has experiences with the integration of
Asterisk 1.4.19 into Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 ?
Or alternatively integration with Microsoft Office Communications
server (however trying to avoid this, if it isn't really necessary for
the integration).
I would be glad to receive any links or manuals on this topic, which
helped you to integrate it.
Kind regards,

MySQL stored proc authorization
On my Gentoo box until today I had dovecot-1.0_rc7
and used following entry in /etc/dovecot/dovecot-sql.conf
password_query = call Authorize('%u', '%n', '%d')
Simply put dovecot is calling my mysql stored routine which handles
authorization. Until today, when I updated dovecot to dovecot-1.0_rc8 it
worked flawlessly. With this version executing stored proc dies with:

root authorization
Hi,
I am using R 2.0.1 Mac OS X 10.3.5. I was able to authorize R to run system command as root using login and password. But, I forgot to turn this function on before installing Bioconductor, so I terminated the process of the installation. Then, I tried to authorize R to run system command as root, I failed to do that because I saw the locker was not open. I am sure my login and password are

Is there a way in R to access a file / web site that requires

Consider for example the following:

Unable to submit report to http://localhost:3000/reports/upload [401] Authorization Required
Hi,
I''m having some troubles related with reports.
Catalogs are updated between server and clients but I cannot submit reports
because of the 401 error. All is caused by the security that I had to put
and I don''t know how to solve it.
Anybody knows how to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Rowland is right, of course. But(!) things might be simpler with the

Hum/bux on line
Rich Hi,
After Qwest pronounced my circuits as within spec. (yes, disconnected
from the house) I listened on the lines with my butt set. Clear of all
noise and hum. I then got my box of Cat3 and laid a circuit around the
outside of the house and into my lab. Still clear of all noise and hum.
I then connected the circuit to the Adtran and made a call. Lots of
hum and buzzz.
As I said,

Incomplete Trio in TDT analysis
I am involved in a study where, as in most of life, men demonstrate
themselves to be recalcitrant. So while we have many probands and most of
their mothers we only have about 50% of the trios being complete.
I have been running tdt and trio.types. It appears as if it is ignoring the
duos. Sometimes a duo can be informative. For instance
Father ..missing
Mother 1/2
Proband 1/1
This duo shows that

cancan and authorization on controller actions of a gem.
Hello.
I''ve installed cancan and bigbluebutton_rails,
https://github.com/mconf/bigbluebutton_rails.
The gem bigbluebutton_rails has some models and controllers, for
example has bigbluebutton/servers_controller.rb.
This controller has some actions like create, join, authorize, etc.
I want that only users with role admin can create.
What can I do?

winbind capabilities
Hi all:
I'm looking for a solution to integrate 150+ existing linux sysems into
an Active Directory (Win Server 2003) domain. These systems are
currently using NIS for directory/authenitication services, and all
users (2000+) have existing UIDs/GIDs that need to be maintained (due to
being spread out all over the place; we don't think we could do any kind
of controlled migration of this

Ubuntu SSSD Active Directory Authorization issue (group membership is not honored)
Hello all,
after spending the last days fighting and researching I hope someone can
point me to an solution here.
Even if I am using Debian / Ubuntu since years I wouldn?t consider
myself as a Linux professional. I have some experience though.
What I try to accomplish:
- Centrally administrated groups for file services. Right now it is only
one server but there will be more.
Setup:
- System
