-failed to verify ticket-, smb-3.0.7, mit krb5 1.3.1
Hi everyone, I've done a lot of reading on this issue over the last couple of days I had a "Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike)" box running 3.0.3a and the stock redhat krb5 package and it was authenticating against a w2k AD domain (over which I have very little control save for my little OU). things were working ok, but I wanted to update it to the new bug fixed versions.

Roaming Profiles XPSP2 - SAMBA 3.0.9
Hi can anyone help please? I recently updated from 3.0.7 to3.0.8 to 3.0.9. Since 3.0.8 I recognized XP not loading the roaming profiles, without any error report temporary local profiles were used, but not copied to the server. All worked fine with 3.0.7. Only members of the admingroup are able to load and to save their profiles. Is there any known issue about profiles and ACL??? The smblogs

Hello list I've a peculiar request (not really related to a samba system problem) In the beginning of the year I asked for help to this list, and exchanged emails with many users, to solve an issue (samba vs AD2k3) . I exchanged many emails trying different commands and sending many results of these commands. Unfortunately I did not changed all assigned usernames with anonymous ones. No a

Bizzare Date, DateTime, date_select issues
I''ve been banging my head against this wall for several hours, and it hurts now so I''ll stop and ask someone. In one of my forms I had been using a statement to extract the current year for use with some form field calculations. <% currentyear = DateTime.now.year %> And then further down several date_selects like the following, <%= date_select

MIME structure intermittently lost
I'm using Dovecot-0.99.10.5-0.FC2 on Fedora Core 2 on the server, and Mulberry 3.1.6 over Win2kSP4 on the client. Intermittently messages with multiple parts show up as a single text part. I'm not sure if it's Mulberry or Dovecot. I just turned on IMAP logging and restarted Mulberry and a message with two text/plain parts that wasn't showing the 2nd part is now displaying it

Roamin Profile problem / filedate issue
Guys, I've identified a problem "I think" Config: Samba 2.2.8a on Linux and Solaris WinXP SP1 and Win2kSP4 workstations We have a problem here, when logging out and using roaming profiles on a samba host take significantly longer than logging out when the profile is stored on a Win2k server. Looking closely I've discovered the following. On each logout, numerous files, that

Renamed PDC, now user profiles don't work
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I just changed the NetBIOS name of my PDC (*not* the name of the domain) and now the security properties of the domain user profile on my Win2kSP4 workstation shows "S-1-5-21-..." as the user rather than the username. Also, System Properties|User Profiles shows that the account has been switched to a local profile and has been *deleted.*

3.0.14a: print driver deletion w/ rpcclient
W/ Samba 3.0.14a I've installed an apparently buggy printer driver (for a Brother HL1670N). From a Win2kSP4 client: - log into the samba server as me (the printer admin) - go to Printers share - right-click on printer, go to Properties - it bitches about print driver not being installed, asks if I want to install it, I click No - go to Advanced tab, click New Driver - proceed to add driver

Multiple histograms in one chart
Hi! I've searched quite a while and this is probably a very easy question: How do I prevent a new hist() histogram from clearing the chart window before drawing? I would like to have several histograms simply drawn on each other in one chart... Thanks for your help! Werner In use: win2ksp4 & R 2.0.1

More than one logon script, can I have?
Hi, RH7.3, Samba 2.2.8a, Win2KSP4 clients... I was just wondering, I know I can have a logon script based on a machine name, on a group, a username, etc., but am I able to actually have a combination of the above? I would like to have a standard group logon script (which I currently do have), but I would also like an extra script to run if they log on to particular machines under my domain...

Printing problems Win2K SP4 on 3.0.x and 2.x
I'm afraid I am stumped, and need some help or pointers. Ever since I've "upgraded" my Win2k boxes to SP4, I've been unable to print to Samba-shared printers (on Solaris and Freebsd). Originally I was running the current 2.2.x, and figured trying to diagnose the problem would provide an impetus for trying 3.0, which I have from beta3 through RC1. That bit of history is

Problems resolving most users with winbind and AD/SFU
Hello all, I'm having a problem with Winbind resolving some users from AD on a W2KSP4 server running SFU 3.5 [8.0.1969.1]. All users and groups in the AD domain have been assigned UIDs and GIDs via SFU. The Linux fileserver is running CentOS 5.3 with Samba 3.0.33-3.7.el5. The fileserver has been joined to the domain using authconfig with proper modifications made to nsswitch and pam.

Problems resolving most users with winbind and AD/SFU (Resolved?)
Problem solved. Sort-of. I just don't know why the solution works. Here's what I found... First, I tried updating SFU 3.5 with the following hotfixes: 913030, 886655, 887531, 932143, 883520, 894186, 931930, 892561, 896428, 888993, 932143, and 939778. No change. Second, I used ADSI Edit from the Win2k support tools to compare side-by-side a working account with a "Could not get

How to use apps and DLLs from XP partition?
I have a Dell Latitude D600 with Windows XPsp2 on the first partition and Ubuntu Feisty (Linux kernel 2.6.20) with Wine 0.9.30 on the second partition, set up to dual-boot. The XP share is NTFS and mounted read-only for Linux. What I want to do is run my Windows apps from the XP partition under Wine, because I really hate using Windows. A lot of the apps seem to ask for DLLs they can't find.
