We have a few old DOS programs which, when run under Windows 2000 is a DOS full screen session are unable to write files on our Samba server. These programs (the "brief" editor, and the "tango" CAD package) are able to write to local files on the Windows 2000 system. I set Samba debug to 10 and found the following reported when Tango tried to write a file:

Is anyone else experiencing problems with offline files and folders on Win 2K (SP4)? They are set up OK but when the Win2K machine goes off line and files are modified it won't sync back when back on the network. Hello I've got some strange problems with Samba-3.0.4. When using roaming profiles, keyboard layout is set to english (instead of norwegian) and a lot of programs wont load correctly. Setting log level = 3 revealed a lot of errors after the netlogon-script had executed (and all shares correctly set up). I switched to log level = 10 to get a more detailed view of these errors (show below).
