I'm testing a printserver with Samab/ Cups. Every time I want to upload the driver to samba for printing I get the following error: "Printer settings could not be saves. Access denied" I chmod 777 the driver directory and spool directory. I gave specified the user as printer admin in the share. My firewall is disabled. Hi, I installed a printer via cups, did the driver installation as described in Procedure 5.17. Steps to Install Printer Drivers on the Samba Servers (Samba-3 by Example). I changed the paper-size in the printer-settings and the device-settings from letter to A4. Hello Everybody, we got new networkprinters and set them up. They work fine, but driverupload doesn't seem to work. We deleted the drivers used by the printers we had before. I have followed the various guides online for setting up Cups and Samba, to where you can just right click a print and choice connect and the printer just works but then it does not work with Vista. It seems to print out tons of junk. Is there a way to make Vista work with Cups + Samba?
