Ghost Create account: procedure number out of range in Samba
Hello, I would like to clone a Windows XP workstation that's part of a Samba domain using Norton Ghost. In Ghost you need to create an account in the domain to be able to add your domain to the list of supported domains by the Norton Ghost console. When I try to add such an account, I get this error message: Unable to add DOMAIN to the list of supported domains, The procedure number is

Replacing WinNT 4 PDC with Samba PDC
Hi All! Thanks to all of you that responded to my previous posts. I've gotten a lot more info now than I used to have! But I still have questions. The biggest right now is: Is there a way build up a Samba PDC as a direct replacement for an existing Windows NT 4.0 PDC? All the material I've found to date is written from a standpoint of creating a new domain as you create the Samba

Intermittent failed logon for one computer
Hello, We have been using Samba 3.0.7 for almost a month now, and today marks the second time that I see a machine (one out of twelve on our network" that gives this error when I log in: "The system cannot log you on to this domain because the system's computer account in its primary domain is missing or the password on that account is incorrect." Last time this

Just a quick suggestion for backup solution, please?? ?
Hi! We use Tapeware to back up a combination of LINUX and MS servers across the network to one of two media servers. One is Windows based and the other is LINUX. Having a little problem with the old tape autoloader on the LINUX box, but the backup/restore from the MS platform works very well. Slow update time for Desktop icons
I've got one user that I just put onto the new Samba 3.0.8 server. He's on WinXP SP1. He has a ton of icons and things on his desktop (39M worth of data according to his profile) but I'm not sure if that is a problem. When he logs in, a few of his icons which point to network applications have only the default Windows shortcut image. If he right-clicks the Desktop and clicks

Rejoining an XP workstation to a domain
Hello, I have been trying to rejoin a computer to a newly remade PDC on the same domain name using Samba 2.2.7 on RedHat 9. Fw: Moving Samba to a different Linux server.
Please help, I am having a problem with a Samba server I have attempted to move to a new Redhat 9 box (it was on Redhat 9 before). Here's the what I did: 1) I transferred the follwing files & dirs to the fresh RedHat box : /etc/passwd /etc/shadow /etc/group /etc/gshadow /etc/samba/* (the whole dir) /var/cache/samba/* (the whole dir) 2) I stopped SMB services on the old box 3)

Migrating Profiles: Revisited
Hello everyone. Well, i've tried to figure this out on my own by asking questions and reading the how-to provided by John. I've followed the directions accordingly, but there are a few catches i've noticed that seem to be throwing me a curve or to. Let me recap. Basically, i've setup our samba PDC with LDAP. I originally was going to use roaming profiles, but decided against

RE: [Patch][RFC] Support "xm dump" (is Re: Re: [Patch]Enable "sysrq c" handler for domU coredump)
Two things: 1. I''m not convinced ''xm crash'' is needed - ''xm destroy'' will do this (and if you want a dump, do ''xm dump'' followed by ''xm destroy'') 2. I don''t see the point of the --noreboot option on ''xm dump'' -- I think this command should simply live-dump the specified domain - as

mini-ITX suggestions
Does anyone have recommendations for (or against) mini-ITX platforms to be used with Wildcard X100P and TDM400P cards? I am considering the use of systems using VIA EPIA CL and Epia M as small, quiet platforms on which to host Asterisk.

[LLVMdev] GenericValue changes from 1.8 to 2.0
Hi all, I've been quiet for a while, but I'm liable to be less so now that I'm starting on porting our model checker from LLVM 1.8 to 2.0. One thing that is puzzling me somewhat are the changes made to the GenericValue union, which is now a struct. I haven't found any mention of this on the llvm site or in the archives, so it may be that I am the only one who cares about it

Set a login script but no profile?
Hello, I am so close!!! So far I have a Samba PDC that machines and users can log into, but here's the deal: I would like to find out how to allow them to log on and receive their login script, but not use a roving profile. Here are my relevant settings as they are set right now: ; logon drive = x: ; logon home = "\\Gluon\Gluon G" ; logon path = \\Jupiter\Profile\%U encrypt

[LLVMdev] pb05 results for current llvm/dragonegg
Hi Jack, > Duncan, any idea how to work around that for passing -bb-vectorize-req-chain-depth=3? it is being rejected by GCC's plugin options parser. I just implemented a hack in dragonegg in which colons will be morphed into equals signs. So you should now be able to pass -bb-vectorize-req-chain-depth:3 and have it work. Ciao, Duncan.

how to type-legalize a dag
I have added new instructions to my target, unfortunately they are not being properly type legalized. The instructions I've added are a vector add, vector load and a vector store. Can anyone lend a hand on how to legalize them so that my target would be able to recognize them. Below is the output of llc with a -debug-only=isel. As you could see the output type for load, store, and add changes
