Win311 Q: login & Windows EXIT
Hi Maybe this is a common stupid problem, but when I try to login to Samba server from Win311 (right after its start) Windows exits very quickly to DOS prompt without error messages. If I enter Windows without loginning to Samba server, and try to login then it hangs (mouse is still active) showing me its watch. I have a couple of Win311 hosts and this happends with all of them. What could it

Favorite print command for SAMBA on Sol 2.5.1
I am having problems with the HP printers that are being handled by a Solaris 2.5.1 machine. The boring details are towards the end. The SAMBA print command I currently use is: print command = echo %u - %s to %p at %T >> /tmp/smb-print.log ; \ lpr -P %p %s ; \ rm %s ; These are EXACTLY the way they are in the smb.conf file. The server will print 99.9% of

Problem getting win95 machines to change password
Howdy, I'm running samba (version 1.94) on a FreeBSD 2.2.6 machine. I've been playing around with changing passwords from windows clients. The relevant parts of my smb.conf are : # ENCRYPTION.txt, Win95.txt and WinNT.txt in the Samba documentation. # Do not enable this option unless you have read those documents ; encrypt passwords = yes #Enable windows clients to change passwords #unix

Samba+preempt bug in 2.4.13+preempt
Hi Samba gurus, need your suggestions on where to plant debug code in Linux kernel to stomp on a bug. Please read on: > I narrowed down Samba weirdness I observe on 2.4.10 to preempt patch. > Plain 2.4.10 works fine, 2.4.10+preempt (with latency measurement > turned on) is sometimes oopses, and sometimes reports 'file already > exists' when I attempt to copy a file from WinNT

Left truncation in shared frailty models with time-varying covariates
Hi! I want to estimate a shared gamma frailty model with left truncated data. I use a parametric baseline hazard so that I can use simple ML estimation. As I have a big data set it is ok to assume piecewise constant baseline hazards. As my data are left truncated I have modified the definition of the risk set. Do I also have to modifiy the frailty distribution if I have left truncated data?

Right truncation data
Hi, Does anybody know how to perform a Cox model analysis for right truncated data? All my data is right truncated, since I only have patients who entered in a hospital for a particular desease, and I would like to modelate the age at hospital entrance as the response variable. Thanks in advance. Isaac Subirana. isubirana@imim.es -------- La informació continguda en aquest missatge i

String truncation problems on FreeBSD Sparc64
I've been investigating an issue on the Asterisk bugtracker recently: http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=10300 The reporter shows that there are places in the code where strings are truncated. You can read the bug report for full information. I suspect that the problem is specific to the reporter's system, but I want to be sure that this isn't standard behavior on certain
