RE Network UPS Tools - ID string
Hi John,
I've forwarded your info to the nut development list, and to Carlos who's
in charge of the megatec driver.
This one, which is only available in the subversion development tree,
and soon in 2.0.4, will replace the fentonups driver.
So you're encouraged to test it and report back.

Asterisk not logging originating IP of a brute force attack
Why do attacks from the Internet get shown in the Asterisk logs with
myAsteriskServerIP instead of the attacker's IP?! Really useful for
blocking them, that is... Example:

5550000<sip:5550000 at myAsteriskServerIP>;tag=ab8537ae
(I replaced our IP address with myAsteriskServerIP. The attacks are not

web collaboration packages.
Hello All,
Try as I might, I cannot get Zimbra 8.0.3 to install on CentOS 6.4, even
with --platform override. I followed some tutorials even that show the
result working and nada.
Can anyone suggest a good setup for e-mails erving, calendaring, web mail?
Web mail is particularly important for my wife so she can check e-mail when
she is at work.

Mailer delivery execution question (drb or not)
When I send an email with Mailer does it get processed in a separate
detached thread (a-la background-drb) or not?
If not the follow up would be:
- Is this something that would be a future feature?
- Does anybody know of a way to get background-drb working with merb?
(it''s probably an obvious thing but I am pretty new to the project)
Thanks

dovecot-lda delivery to Maildir/cur as 'seen'?
Hi
I've added a server-side feature where authenticated customers sending
through our SMTP server have their outbound mail copied to their Sent
folder (like Gmail does). The delivery script called by qmail calls
dovecot-lda to deliver it to the user's Sent folder.
The problem now, is that the Sent folder shows the mail as unread,
which MUAs flag (and notify, in the case of some).

notifications when delivery fails
Hello Timo,
We have dovecot 1.2.13. Is there any way to send notifications to the postmaster when a delivery fails?
For example, when the dovecot index are corrupted and the mail is not sent to the user (the user who sent the message receives an error informing that the mail has not sent).
Thank you very much in advanced.

Content delivery networks
I am authoring an article for Amazon Cloudfront. Are there recommended
techniques for working with content delivery networks in Rails?
I have seen and used ActionController::Base.asset_host and am aware of
the date parameter that Rails can attach to each static image to
reflect its last modified time.
Are there other build techniques and coding techniques to work well
with CDNs? For instance,

Dovecot LDA - Performance/issues versus postfix delivery? Also, installing on OS X?
Can anyone give me an idea of whether or not dovecot-lda can solve the
following issue: We seem to have constantly-corrupting dovecot* files
for people who fit one (or more) of the following categories:
1) 1000+ message inboxes;
2) multiple clients simultaneously checking mail;
3) people receiving a lot of mail, and/or the server receiving and
trying to deliver a single message to all users at
