OT Old Sipura OK - Linksys (junk)
I have two old Sipura 3000 original (green) boxes and they are running perfectly faxes going through, no echo. Firmware 2.0.13(GWg), hardware 2.0.1(1813) Does the number in the bracket means anything? In addition I have Linksys 3000 running the same firmware and same hardware (except the number in the bracket). I can not get to work correctly. The unit has a lot of echo, can not get rid of it,

OT: Linksys router misbehaviour
I'm running a Linksys WRT54GL router from my CentOS-7 home server. Every now and then (maybe once every 2 days) the router's WiFi cuts out, and I've found no way to solve this except to disconnect the power from the router, wait 10 seconds and then re-connect. This always works. The router is running under dd-wrt. My question is - which makes it a tiny bit CentOS-related - does anyone

OT - Choose PCI or mini-PCI for appliance ?
Hi, Mini-PCI cards such as those from Junghanns (BRI or E1, http://www.junghanns.net/en/produkte.html), are available. Are these modules really usable as it doesn't seem very easy to integrate those in appliances ? Can someone share its experience with those ? More specifically, how can you add connectors in appliance chassis ? Do you need to use a vendor PCI bracket (ie the 1cmx15cm steel

OT:spa942 provisioning
Hello! Sorry for the OT-thread, but i don't know where else too ask... Has anyone done http-provisioning of a Linksys SPA942 with client side ssl-authentication? Where do i get the CA from? I'm aware of the Sipura mass deployment howto on voip-info.org, but it doesn't cover the authentification part. Thanks Christian

OT: BIOS upgrades and booting without a floppy drive
I've got a machine running CentOS 3.5 with an Intel D865GBF motherboard and I've been having an occasional "event" where disk-intensive activity (such as running "yum check-update" or starting up OpenOffice) causes the load average to spike and X11 to become unresponsive (as in, the pointer won't even track the mouse) for a few seconds. The machine always recovers

Slightly OT: Anyone got a PXE bootable HDD low level format tool?
Slightly off topic, but does anyone have a utility for low level formating Maxtor ATA hard disks that can be booted from PXELinux (either as some kind of binary or as a floppy image)? I just went to get the official tools, but they only have a floppy creator (which won't help me in Linux, or without a floppy drive) and a CD ISO. And it seems 99% of 3rd party software is unhelpfully the

OT - IP Network Call Recording
Apologies in advance as this is not directly Asterisk related, however I thought I might be able to leverage the experience of particiapants on this listserv for some advice. I have a client who is utilizing Talkswith PBX appliances, which have no native call monitoring/call recording capabilities. They are looking for an additional application, service or appliance that can sit on the LAN, and

Slightly OT: SNOM & PoE
Hello All, I apologize for the slightly off-topic question, but I'm sure that the people best acquainted with the issue would be hanging around here. We recently deployed several Linksys POE switches for some smaller customers (10-24 station) and appear to be suffering from intermittent lock-ups of the SNOM phones attached. Obviously we are running Asterisk for the gateway, but I was

Problem doing a simple automount via Samba...
I've looked at documenation, I've gone over mailing list archives, I've checked various FAQs. I'm sure I'm missing something simple. I've got two RedHat (Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 3) boxes, devfront and devback. I'm trying to set up an automount so that I can automatically mount a share from devback on devfront. On devfront, here is /etc/auto.master: # $Id:

kernel & automount errors in messages log
Hello all, I have a few strange errors in my messages log I can't fix. My system works great, it just bugs me that I have error (or apparent errors) that I don't know about. I get automount errors regurlarly (daily) that are reflected in the last four lines of the log file excerpt below. My misc and net directories are there, but I can't write to them either. The properties say that

Any experience with lanner appliances?
Hi, anybody has installed CentOS on an lanner appliance...? Eg. http://www.lannerinc.com/products/all-purpose-box-computers/industrial-automation/lec-2126 I was planning to buy an hp microserver to make a "small" CentOS firewall (and more since it is overpowered), but I am wondering if I could go for a lot smaller and with no fan/noise... but at the same time a bit more expensive...

slightly OT: dban
I'm trying to nuke a Dell Optiplex GX620. I've got a perfectly good dban 1.0.4 that I've used a bunch of times... but on this machine, it says starting, then dies, saying "dban has finished with non-fatal errors. Check the log for more information" It never gets to the interactive menu. Now that I've disabled the non-existant floppy drive, at least it does say "to

[OT] Wifi SIP phones - LinkSys WIP330
Hi List, Hope everyone is recovering from the festive season :) (ok we still have new years i guess!) Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has had any successful dealings with WiFi phones and operation with '*' at all? I've been keeping my eye on the LinkSys WIP330 ( http://preview.tinyurl.com/nccxn ) and wondered your collective thoughts? Would I be correct in thinking that (as

[OT] dovecot appliance
Hello all. I am reading the mailinglist for a long time now, and there was a thread i believe called webgui or something. In this thread there was a company i believe german, that was working on a dovecot appliance with a web based gui to administrate a dovecot mail server. The problem is i did not save the URL of that company. Does anyone know which company make the appliance. Or does

OT: ATA causes random DTMF in stream
I've got a user with Linksys ATA's for their analog phones. At random times during calls, the other party hears DTMF tones during the call. Is there a way to solve this? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... OT - SPA3102 not detecting CID - Which settings to tune ?
Hi, I'm connecting a Linksys SPA3102 to 3 different PSTN analog lines. With only one of those, CID is shown. Beside that, everything is working OK. Lines have different providers and/or locations. All are located in France and CID Detection Method is ETSI FSK / Bell 202. If I'm connecting a TDM400-enabled Asterisk system, to one of those 2 non-working lines : it does work. The only
