Samba3 - LDAP - USRMGR.EXE
Hello, have some little problems adding user to domain with USRMGR.EXE My System runs on SuSE 9.1 (2.6.5-7.75-default), samba-3.0.4, smbldap-tools-0.8.5, openldap2-2.2.6 If I try to add a new user with USRMGR.EXE I get an error "Access denied", but if I look into LDAP the new user was correctly added to LDAP. Migration, which password?
Greetings! It is premature for me to send out a "success procedure for migration" yesterday. I overlooked things and I appologize for to this group. Anyway, after migration, computers, users, groups are all created and filled up with the correct membership. However, I still have the same problem with machine password and user password. Further looking into the detail, it looks

Questions on Samba3/OpenLDAP/PDC
Greetings! I set up a PDC with samba 3.0.4 and openldap-2.2.14 and use smbldap-tools to populate ldap database. I am able to use the Microsfot's User Manager (usrmgr.exe) to add and delete users. I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with. 1. smbldap-tools maps Domain Admins group to group ID 512. I created domadmins group with ID 512 in /etc/group and added

Anyone have Solaris 8/9, W2K AD, NIS working?
Okay, I'm at wit's end, and am about ready to give up on Samba 3.x as a way to implement single sign-on. I would like to know if there's anyone out there who has the following environment: - Solaris 8 and 9, running NIS (not NIS+) for automount and passwd/group maps - W2K-based Active Directory I'm trying to get Solaris authentication to work using AD user accounts. account migartion from NIS and Smbpasswd to LDAP
Hi, I've tried "smbldap-migrate-unix-accounts" to migrate NIS account into LDAP. It is a great tool. There is no problem if he/she authenticate from Linux machine with his old NIS account. But I found that I need to run smbldap-passwd to give a new passwd so that he/she can authenticate from windows machine. Does anyone has a better solution about it? Thanks a lot. I really

Re: Samba3 - LDAP - USRMGR.EXE
passdb appears a lot of times in smba logs, even if it uses LDAP as a backend, as in my config. Maybe the log message should be changed in the code for something easier to debug... But this error message you said, only appears if you try to add or delete the user twice from LDAP, so you should remove "-a" from the add user script and comment out the user delete script if you intend to

[LLVMdev] LLVM IR in DAG form
I don't want to get into the debate w.r.t. which IR style is better - ask me over beer if you care about my opinions - but as an FYI, there are serious proposals being worked on to introduce some notion of memory def-use edges to help in analysing memory operations. I don't think we've settled on a concrete proposal yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to see something in the

Length of a string
Hi, Suppose I have created something like this in R: foo <- "myfoo" and I want to find out the number of character in foo (in other words, R should return 5 since "myfoo" has 5 charactors. How can I do it? I tried: length(foo) but it returned 1. Cheers, Kevin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ko-Kang Kevin Wang

[PATCH] isohybrid: fix overflow on 32 bit system
When call isohybrid with option '-u', it overflows on a 32 bits host. It seeks to 512 bytes before the end of the image to install gpt header. If the size of image is larger than LONG_MAX, it overflows fseek() and cause error: isohybrid: wrlinux-image-x86-64-20140505110100.iso: seek error - 8: Invalid argument Check the offset and call fseek() multi-times if offset is too large.
