Question about dhcpd.leases
Hi, I'm running a DHCP server on my local network. I've noticed something that puzzles me. Leases are written to /var/lib/dhcpd/dhcpd.leases, but only - so it seems to me - if the address is not fixed in any way in dhcpd.conf. Here's a few stanzas of my dhcpd.conf : host babasse { hardware ethernet 00:0d:61:ae:6b:8f; fixed-address 192.168.1.1; option

Apache: confusion about virtual hosts and DNS on a local network
Hi, I set up a webserver with Apache on one of the machines on the local network. There's a DNS configured for the LAN, with a dummy domain name (presbytere.local), and every machine is pingable by its hostname. The webserver runs on the machine 'buildbox'. The webserver actually has two (static) websites on it, for testing and fiddling purposes. Each site's pages are stored

Correct latency values in "sip show peers"
I was wondering if anyone knows how accurate the values are when you do a "sip show peers" from the CLI. My configuration is: Asterisk box (192.168.1.102) -> gigabit switch <- PC running x-lite (192.168.1.100) the CLI reports 101 ms delay however, ping is showing <1ms delay Where is the extra 100ms coming from? The softphone response? Here is a dump of some data: CLI>

Install Exchange 2013 with Samba ADC
Hello. I'm trying to install Exchange 2013 (SP1 CU5) on a domain with only a Samba ADC (because I've had many problems trying to get OpenChange to work with Outlook 2013.) I've already hacked the attributes of the ADC's LDAP entry so Exchange is happy with the OS version (see my previous post,) but I want to find out if there are any known problems with letting Exchange make

Extra sheet after printing a job.
At the end of a printerjob in my HP-DJ895Cxi and HP-1100A in my samba-server (SuSE Linux 8.1) an extra -blank- sheet is comming out of the printers. >From the server if printing direct there's no extra paper sheet. I know the problem has been on the list before, and can also see how to solve it, but there's a problem. From default the SuSE 8.1 is installed with cups, and I wanted to

Touchpad doesn't work with C6, kernel-related...
Hi folks! :-) I have a Fujitsu Lifebook U series laptop running updated CentOS 6.4 (64bit), and the touchpad doesn't work. It's a new laptop, the touchpad works correctly in Fedora 18 Live (given the kernel parameters below), no hardware problems. I searched the web all around, and it's a known issue for several laptop models. The only solution, quoted everywhere, it is to append the

Centos and Bridging
Hello, Presently I am running CentOS release 5.5 (Final). I am looking to setup bridging as I would like to setup some KVM virtual hosts on my system as a test lab. I am following the the instruction at this site > http://tldp.org/HOWTO/BRIDGE-STP-HOWTO/index.html but I cannot figure out where I am going wrong and would be thankful if someone could point me in the right direction. Installing Cent OS from a usb flash drive
I recently acquired a Fujitsu Lifebook 1610. Unfortunately, the machine was missing a lot of the stuff that would've come with it brand new, mainly the usb cdrom drive. Currently, I'm running Fedora on it, and I installed it using a usb flash drive with the help of a program called unetbootin(Probably not spelled right). to load the ISO onto the USB drive. I've successfully used

Routing and keying Questions
Hello! I use tincd to interconnect 3 LANs: A, B and C. So long, it works fine: everybody reaches everybody. But I want a different behavior: A and B should be allowed to talk, as should B and C. I tried to simply delete the host-files on the nodes that should not be allowed to talk to eachother: A has a hostfile from B B has a hostfile from A and C C has a hostfile from B But this is no

C&C: The First Decade games not working correctly
Hey all, Having a bit of trouble getting the Command and Conquer: The First Decade games to work. Basically, Renegade and Red Alert 2 both work. However, all remaining games don't. Tiberium Dawn complains that a CD is required. Generals, Zero Hour and Tiberian Sun, which is the game I most wanted to play, simply don't play. After opening the program in wine, the splash appears, then

SAMBA 4 acting as Domain Server- Is Exchange 2010 capable of being installed?
Hello. I just ran into this issue myself (with Exchange 2013) and found out how to solve it, so I'm trying to reply to this thread to help anyone else who is looking. Use an LDAP editor (I use Apache Directory Studio) to edit the entry for the computer account of your (master) Samba domain controller. It has a DN of the form: CN=<computer name>,OU=Domain

I have two machines, Fujitsu LIFEBOOK S7110 and P7230 that have the same problem; menu.c32 will not load.
