"File does not exist" errors
I keep finding entries like the following:
---
[date/time] [error] [client address] File does not exist:
/apache_document_root/samba_share_directory

in my Apache error log. I don't have samba share directories within my
Apache document root.
None of the users of the server have reported problems when mounting a
share directory.
What does this error message indicate? Is this an

Using File when its source doesn't exist
Hi guys,
I''m trying to use the Apache SSL class from the camptocamp apache
module, The problem seems to be in the File type at the bottom
https://github.com/camptocamp/puppet-apache/blob/master/manifests/vhost-ssl.pp
Whilst source => "file://$csrfile" doesn''t exist at the time of
running, an exec creates it before the file is supposed to be run as

Configuration Error
Hello,
I am a newbie when it comes to Dovecot, and in following this (
http://workaround.org/articles/ispmail-etch/ ) document in setting these
things up, I have run into an error that I am not quite certain what to
do...
I am running Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, and using 1.0.5 for Dovecot. The message I
am getting when I try to 'restart' Dovecot (using '/etc/init.d/dovecot

CentOS newbie question - updates
Pardon the newbie question, but I thought I'd check with you guys here since
I couldn't find the answer to this one on CentOS web site.
I installed CentOS 3.4 (needed an equivalent of RHEL 3.4 for a very specific
purpose - not interested in newer releases at this point) and downloaded all
available up2date stuff. However, Apache is at v2.0.46, php is at 4.3.4,
and so on - which are

Mongrel and capistrano
Hello list,
I discovered mongrel just a few days ago and it already won me overlighttpd for deployment of my future project, so my honestcongratulations to author.
My question though is, how one could use capistrano with mongrel (orvice versa) to automate deployments. Since mongrel is plain HTTP anddoes not use fastcgi, will it need to be restarted after each checkouton deployment server like

RODBC, Apache, Linux
This may be as much of a Linux Newbie question as an RODBC question. I've
managed to get iODBC working on my RedHat 7.2 system. I can load the
library and run it as root. However, I would like to be able to run it via
Perl and Apache over the web. I'm not sure what I need to change in order
to let "nobody" (the user running the scripts off of Apache) load the
library. I can

smb_newconn error
Okay, newbie alert.
We're having a problem with a linux (2.2.20 smp) webserver (apache) that is
a samba 2.0.7-4) client. Oddly, both client and server are Linux. (I didn't
set them up)
There are 2 webservers that in theory are set up exactly the same. When a
certain one of them goes live, it generates an error:
smb_newconn failed to allocate new packet buffer max xmit 65535

destination dir doubles in size
I am using Rsync to mirror my primary drive to a mounted second drive. I am
using a crontab to control it:
30 3 * * * /usr/bin/rsync -rpogl /* /mnt/backup2/systemBackup/
The first run seems fine. But the subsequent running seems to double the
original directory size. I notice this by running df -k. The destination
size increases two fold, as if each time Rsync runs, it repeats itself,
