Access Denied to shares in Lotus Notes and Outlook
Hi All, I don't know if this is a samba problem or not, but if users want to add files as an attachment in Lotus Notes and MS Outlook, and these files reside on samba shares, they get an "access denied" message. This "access denied" message refers to the whole share not only a file. Samba Server version is 3.0.4 on Sparc Solaris 8 acting as AD Member Server (W2K DC).

exporting an FUSE base file system to windows
Hi, What I wanted to do was to export an FUSE based filesystem mounted on linux to a windows box using samba. I can browse and navigate the fuse filesystem without problems on the linux box. With smbd running I can even navigate the filesystem using smbclient. Unfortunately when I try to access the exported file system from WinNT the mountpoint of the filesystem shows up as a zero size file

Intermittent ACCESS DENIED
In a follow-up to a previous post a couple weeks back, we've implemented a Samba 3.0.20 (Suse packages on 10.0 - recompiled to include idmap_rid) server to replace the Windows 2000 file server in our Win2003 Active Directory. For the most part things have been going well, but occassionally people will get access denied errors to things that they were accessing just fine minutes before. With

Linux CIFS client with Samba 2.0.x or 2.2.x ?
Hi. I am experimenting with the Linux CIFS client included with Linux 2.6.6, and I am having some problems. First, I tried to map shares from a Samba 2.0.10 server (old machine). Is this supposed to work at all? The mount succeeds, and I can traverse and list directories, but any attempt to open a file for reading results in "permission denied". The Samba server logs this message:
