Help required
Hi Sadaf,
Out of curiosity, what sorts of things have you tried to fix this?
For example, after playing around with this a bit, if I remove your
"eps" parameter from your `ranges` list, it works.
Perhaps you should try tweaking the values you pick for your
parameters. You don't even have to put it in the `tune` function to
get an idea of the ranges you should use:

How to mount NT share & maintain NT share permission via SMB for LTSP user??
When a regular user (say, "jmc") logs onto my Linux (LTSP, Samba, DHCP)
server via his LTSP terminal I need an NT drive share to be mounted with
the permissions that NT intends.
Our NT file print server has a directory named "private" which contains
subdirectories for each user. Each user has NT read/write permissions to
his/her private subdir and no others. I need for each

Losing share connections?
I seem to have Samba working generally (for a Linux newbie).
I am using SuSE 8.0 & Samba 2.2.3a and have a small network.
Presently my main PC runs NT4.0 sp6a.
Using LinNeighborhood I can browse the NT PC from a linux PC,
and have mounted the drives OK. In LinNeighborhood I set a
preference to memorise mounted shares, remount on the startup.
What puzzles me is that after a period of

Disappearing Shares?
I am new to Linux and running SuSE V8.0 with KDE desktop and
Samba 2.2.7 on a small bnetwor5k which also has a Windows NT

the windoze machines.
I have had a number of occasions where I have had to power down

(OT) OpenOffice.org calc chart strangeness.
I am attempting to create a simple line chart graphing three columns from a
soffice-calc spreadsheet. I expect it to take the leftmost column as the
X-Axis, plotting the others on the Y-Axis, but it always creates an X-Axis
of the row number in the columns, and the first column amongst the data.
I have tried this on OpenOffice.org 3.2.0, NeoOffice(R) 3.0.2 Patch 2,
iWork Pages, and Excel 12.2.4

LDAP functionable? ldap.c does not compile on Solaris 2.6 /SWAT bug?
Hi,
Is there anybody who succesfully compiled 2.0.4b INCLUDING LDAP support
"--with-ldap"? And on Solaris 2.6 (2.x)?
I first had configure run with also the NISPLUS option, but didn't want
that after all. I had a lot of problems trying to get Samba accepting
connections anyway.
That compiled oke: there's a little bug? in the SAMBA source somewhere

Problem using svm.tune
Dear Sir,
I am stuck with a nagging problem in using R for SVM regression. My data has 5
dimensions and 400 observations. The independent variables are :
Peb, Ksub, Sub, and Xtt.
The dependent variable is: Rexp.
I tried using the svm.tune function as well as <_tune(svm.....), to tune the
hyper parameters: gamma, epsilon and C.
Since I am new to R, I am probably not using the svm.tune

Networking from Mac-to-Linux & Linux-to-Linux
I have 10 machines in my office. A Linux server. Mostly Windows clients. And
a couple of Mac G5s. Can anyone give me an informed opinion about the best way
to access a Linux file server from the G5 Macs? They're running the latests
OS X 10.3 (Panther).
I'm using Mandrake 10 (based on the 2.6.3 kernel with Samba 3.0.2). So far I
have only tried using smb/cifs from the Macs. I'm

Callback when objects connect as a habtm relationship
If Product and Category models are in a habtm relationship, i.e.
class Product < ActiveRecord::Base
has_and_belongs_to_many :categories
end
class Category < ActiveRecord::Base
has_and_belongs_to_many :products
end
I want a piece of code to be executed every time a product is connected to a
category.
Where do I put this code? Which callback (and on which model) will be
triggered?
