Profiles
I have a few weird problems with profiles on my samba PDC. Right now I'm just testing with two XP pro clients. Samba is Samba version 3.0.2a-Debian The problems that I'm having and I believe are related are: 1.) Profiles are saved to the server, but don't migrate to different clients. This is very odd, I can make all sorts of changes to the profile and I can see those changes

Folder creation problems
I hope you can help. I'm a bit of a newbie experimenting with Linux, virtual machines and (of course) Wine before I decide on how to set up my next computer, i.e. whether to go Windows or Linux. Wine is a very important part of this, but I am having a strange problem. I am running OpenSuSE 11.1 with Wine 1.1.19 and cannot get anything to install. I have tried Micrografx Designer 3.1 (16 bit)

Smart1500lcdt will not connect with usbhid-ups
Another Update: I had to reboot my server today. After the reboot, I had the exact same problem as before without the usb hub. Since I already had the ups connected and communicating, I decided to try to figure out how to fix it. Here is what worked for me using the usb 2.0 hub sudo upsd ?c stop sudo upsdrvctl stop sudo upsdrvctl start sudo upsd Everything connected up and was

Setup a Samba AD DC as an additional DC
I had my zones set for Domain Replication. After your post I set them for Forest Replication. I have not had a chance to see if that made a difference. I did not know Samba cared if it were one vs. the other. -Barry Adkins From: andrew at ruscica.com [mailto:andrew at ruscica.com] On Behalf Of Andrew Ruscica Sent: Wednesday, December 5, 2018 9:17 PM To: Barry D. Timestamp on voice mail messages is based on wrong timezone
running asterisk 1.4.13... I've noticed with SOME email clients that the timestamp reported from voicemail is 5 hours off (difference of EST vs UTC). That is, a voicemail received at 15:17:59 EST is sent via email with a Date: header of "10:17:59 - 0500". An email sent through normal means (mail client) from the asterisk server reports the correct time, so it's definitely

Thank you very much. For some reason "emailsubject" was not included in my example config. Well, it's working great now. Last question, I promise :P. Is it possible to change the date format? I want it in Norwegian. -----Opprinnelig melding----- Fra: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] P? vegne av Barry Flanagan Sendt: 22.

am I the only one that pam_mkhomedir+samba makes machine folders for?...was RE: pam_mkhomdir.so is creating machine folders when usedwithsamba
I see a ton of past archive mails for pam_mkhomedir.so, but I don't see anyone else with my problem. Do others just not care that a bunch of extra folders with the machine names are getting created, or is it not happening for anyone else, and I have just done something wrong? [LLVMdev] Getting started with LLVM on Win32 from non-C/C++ language
Hello again Barry, In order to compile LLVM from Visual C++, you should use CMake to create the project file. See http://www.cmake.org/ for downloads. I was going to work on an FPC compatible backend by adding the Borland Fastcall calling convention to the x86 backend but I've run into two snags: 1. I've never used the TableGen utility and I haven't gotten around to figuring it

Desiring to set up Windows Vista and Linux Fedora Core 4 Samba
Gary, SWAT is neato! This is a wonderful summarizing and helping tool! I didn't know about it at all! (I had to set disable to no and enable it via xinetd, but then my localhost:901 works great!!) I'm going to look it over and try to regain at least the basic understanding I got of Samba many years ago when I configured my Windows 98! I believe it will go faster with

Request to add to laptops page
Hello centos-docs list. My name is Barry Smith, username BarrySmith. I'm writing because I've had a great experience installing CentOS on my Dell Latitude E6500 laptop, and would be happy to add a section to the HowTos/Laptops page for this computer. I'd also appreciate a personal homepage on the Wiki. Thanks, Barry -- Barry F Smith bfsmith9 at fastmail.net
