Cannot get sieve script replication to work
Hello,
I've set up dsync replication on 2 nodes and mail replication is working
flawlessly, however it seems that replicating the sieve scripts won't work.
Managesieve and sieve filter in gerneral seems to work on both nodes,
however in order to have a synchronized state, I have to log onto both
nodes with managesieve and save & activate the script.
What's funny about this is

SEM : Warning : Could not compute QR decomposition of Hessian
Hi useRs,
I'm trying for the first time to use a sem. The model finally runs,
but gives a warning saying :
"In sem.default(ram = ram, S = S, N = N, param.names = pars, var.names
= vars, : Could not compute QR decomposition of Hessian.
Optimization probably did not converge. "
I found in R-help some posts on this warning, but my attemps to modify
the code didn't change

Can't join Domain on PDC: NT_STATUS_CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO (PAM: 4)
Hi all,
I've got the following problem when trying to join a domain on a samba pdc
itself:
net rpc join eccag -U root
asks for password an then tells me that it cannot connect to the PDC.
Winbind-log gives the following:

get_trust_pw: could not fetch trust account password for my domain ECCAG

Unable to access shares on a Linux Samba server
Hello everyone,
I did alot of searching before I came to post here, but have failed to
come up with a reason why this isn't working. I may just be missing a
major step. First, let me get the formailities out of the way.

Joining RHEL5 server as member of win2003 domain fails - RHEL4 works
Dear SAMBA experts,
I have several RHEL4 servers where samba is working perfectly with the exact same configuration file as is the case for this RHEL5 server, but on RHEL5 I cannot join the domain controlled by a win2003 server.

I'm trying to set up our test box here. Identical versions and setup to
our devel box. It is part of the domain (has already been joined). And
there was a problem with the secrets.tdb file (corrupted or whatever).

Samba 4.19.2: "Unwilling to perform" password change
Hello All,
I have a custom built version of Samba 4.19.2 running on Rocky Linux 9.
When I attempt to change a password via LDAP, I get an error, "Unwilling to
Perform". In Google searches I found that this is due to password
complexity requirements. However, in my case, I get the error no matter
how complex the password. Also, I have the following line in my smb.conf
file:

Samba and ActiveDirectory authentication
Hi all
I'm interesting in using Samba shares with Microsoft AD in following way:
I would like to set up my shares on Samba 3.6.3, authenticate Windows users
via ActiveDirectory and have users/groups access to those shares configured
in ActiveDirectory (not in smb.conf). Is that possible?
I did fair amount of research but I could not find enough information or
tutorial how to do it.
Do I need

Winbind Authentication Problem
Had planned to use LDAP and replace an NT4 domain, but trouble with a
software vendor (long story) means we need to keep the NT4 domain and
use winbind for share authentication for the next few months.
So, I religiously followed the TOSHARG winbind chapter, stopping short
of making changes to /etc/pam.d files.
I can browse and see shares from the Samba box via KDE's LAN browser,

Cooperation with the samba and the Windows ActiveDirectory
Hi Takano,
You wrote:
※The direction of the trust Samba server → Windows server
Which should mean, according to some MS book sitting on my desk, that you
want Samba domain to trust MS domain.
In the Samba FAQ, here:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/FAQ#Does_Samba_support_trust_relationship_with_AD.3F
you can read "Samba can be trusted, but can't trust yet."
According to that, if
