Not all users correctly winbind-ing on Server 2003 SP1 with 3.0.20b
Hi all
This one has me baffled - leading me to beleive it could be a bug
similar to https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2695
I am running samba 3.0.20b on debian unstable and am having problems
with some users not resolving properly using winbind.
wbinfo -u shows all users on the system, no problem
wbinfo -a user%password works for any user
getent passwd shows most but not all users

Escaping . in regular expression
If I run
cvec<-c("test.f", "test.sf", "try.g","try.res", "try.f")
print(cvec)
indx<-grep('\.f',cvec,perl=TRUE)
fset<-cvec[indx]
print(fset)
I get

problems compiling R packages with Linux
Hello out there,
my first try to install a package (e.g. ctest from CRAN) didn't
succeed; looking at the error messages I think it must be a
configuration problem of my machine, but as I'm not very experienced I
would be glad if someone could give me a hint ...
R's version is 0.63.0, my i386-Linux is kernel 2.0.35. I hadn't had
problems to compile R, and R itself seems to work.

Re: [Qemu-devel] [qemu-img] support for XVA
Here's my solution, as a nbdkit plugin written in Perl.
As with Max's solution I don't bother to parse the virtual size out of
the XML file, so you need to specify that on the command line
otherwise the disk will be truncated to the largest extent stored in
the file. Also the ‘.xva’ file must not be compressed.
$ nbdkit perl script=./xva-reader.pl file=./debian8cloud.xva

R CMD check: "..." used in a situation where it does not exist
Dear R developers,
when running R CMD check, the R Under development (unstable)
(2015-01-13 r67453) gives me the following NOTE:
cbind.fsets: possible error in list(...): ... used in a situation
where it does not exist
The file that causes this note contains:
cbind.fsets <- function(..., deparse.level = 1) {
dots <- list(...)
res <- NULL
resVars <- NULL

R CMD check: "..." used in a situation where it does not exist
I think this is bug in R CMD check code. I get a similar error:
rule: possible error in paste0(...): ... used in a situation where it
does not exist
for the simple:
rule <- function(..., pad = "-") {
if (nargs() == 0) {
title <- ""
} else {
title <- paste0(...)
}
width <- getOption("width") - nchar(title) - 1

ctdb_client.c control timed out - banning nodes
Hello,
We are using CTDB / Samba to serve a number of windows users, at this point around 1200. We have a 4 node CTDB setup.
CTDB version - ctdb-1.0.114.7-1
Samba Version - sernet-samba-4.1.16-10
In recent months we've seen a big problem when 1 of the CTDB nodes is stopped or disconnected either manually or resulting from a problem. On some occasions, all other nodes get banned if a node

I can try to provide one, but it's simple:
