Idea to enhance migration from UW-Imap
Hello,
i want to migrate from UW-Imap to dovecot, but want to avoid changing clients
(that would be really hard to do).
All my users have their Mailboxes in ~/Mail. My idea would be now to strip off
"Mail" from the imap commands, so that both a client which prepends "Mail" as
well as one who doesn't would see the same mailboxes.
Can somebody give me a hint where in

spoolss printing: downloading printing preferences in W2K
I have heard something about a 'known bug in 2.2.4' so this might
already be known. If so, I just want to get confirmation...
I have a new samba 2.2.4 running on a RH7.2 box, running solely as
printserv. The spoolss printing functionality is working fine: uploading
drivers works ok (aside from a few APW quirks if you change drivers).
I'm using CUPS as unix printing backend.

Large Papersizes
Hello,
i use Serverside printerdrivers, and since 2.2.5 it seems to work well,
but on problem remains:
I installed a driver for the HP 750 Designjet with cupsaddsmb. This
drivers works well, but only up to A2. The Printer Properties don't let
me choose larger paper sizes than A2 (I need definitly A1 and A0 ).
I tried to create new forms trough server properties, but it does not
work. Is

I've tried last week a trial version of .net 2003 Server RC2 (I heard it
will be named "Windows 2003 Server" when it cames out).
I was able to add it to a Samba Domain with 2.2.7 as PDC,

apic=1 ist default in RHEL 5.1/5.2 and derivates (CentOS, SL) if you create a
PVM through virt-manager.

R and sun gridengine
Hi
I am looking for assistance with setting up R under Sun grid engine 6
(6.0-update7). I would like to set up transparent interactive access
to R using either a qlogin or qrsh solution. While it basically works
using either method, I reach the same sticking point. There seems
to be an issue with signalling or something, as R works ok until a
non-R command is typed in - eg "blah" - at

Samba 2.2.5 Printing problem with HP Designjets
Hello,
I sent this request already last week, but got no answer (maybe I did
not use a good subject).
My problem is the following:
I use server side drivers with samba 2.2.5 and cups. I add them usually
with cupsaddsmb. This works quite well, but I have trouble with printers
with really large papersizes. I have some HP Designjet in our Network,
we need for our mechanical engineers, as well as

New lazyload rdx key type: list(eagerKey=, lazyKeys=)
Prior to R-3.6.0 the keys in the lazyload key files, e.g.
pkg/data/Rdata.rdx or pkg/R/pkg.rdx, seemed to all be 2-long integer
vectors. Now they can be lists. The ones I have seen have two components,
"eagerKey" is a 2-long integer vector and "lazyKeys" is a named list of
2-long integer vectors.

Winbind ADS Issues w/ *TONS* of Pre-Research
Samba Team,
I've been trying to get my Samba server to authenticate users against a
Windows 2000 Active Directory domain controller, and it just doesn't work.
I've encountered a TREMENDOUS amount of postings from people who have run
into the same issue, and there's never any responses with a resolution.
I must have viewed more than 500 postings over the course of the day.

So far I?m getting insults and claims that I don?t know what I?m doing and my Webmaster doesn?t know what he?s doing, even though he?s worked for large bluechip companies.
Please make an effort to actually respond to what I asked, and don?t presume to tell me what I did wrong and how it?s my fault ? or his fault.
I assume the distribution is the one on the Icecast site. I have a CentOS 6.5

Problem with 3.0.5 rc1
Hi All,
I have been having problems with the known issue on 3.0.4 with NTBackup and
a DFS related issue. Therefore I decided to give 3.0.5rc1 a go, as SuSE have
released the rpms on their website. Once I installed the rpms, I found that
all daemons started correctly, but all domain authentication failed (I am
running a samba server as a member server against a Windows 2000 mixed mode
domain).
