Problems with SPOOLSS WinNT driver uploads
I've been experiencing a problem with the automatic printer driver download function described in printer_driver2.html under Samba 2.2.5 on Red Hat 7.2. I believe that I have followed the doc correctly and in fact the driver uploads/downloads seem to work if I use a small driver set (like the Apple Laserwriter v23.0) that comes with Windows NT 4.0. The problem is that I cannot seem to

Problems printing with samba 3.5.2
Ok, I finally deployed samba 3.5.2 (upgrading from 3.0.11) on the real server after testing for a while in virtualbox. There's a strange problem with printing: sometimes an application gives an error printing (of course the error message is meaningless, this is windows after all) and/or the job gets lost in transit. After that stopping and restarting the local print spool service solves the

rpcclient returns NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_DEVICE on adddriver
Hi, samba 2.2.8a freshly compiled cups 1.1.19final-1 (debian) while using cupsaddsmb, all runs well until adddriver, when rpcclient returns a cryptic NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_DEVICE. I've followed the SambaPrintHowto 3.0 from 7.11.6.1 to 7.11.6.6, and it fails on the latest as well. Here is some more information. ===8<=== cupsaddsmb -a -v Running command: smbclient //localhost/print\$ -N

Trouble Printing
I've having a heck of time getting all of my Windows 2000/XP clients to print. Some can print fine. Others get an error that it can't write to the printer. I'm getting this message in log for someone that's having trouble: [2002/12/18 11:05:24, 0] rpc_server/srv_pipe_hnd.c:unmarshall_rpc_header(398) unmarshall_rpc_header: FIRST endianness flag (0) different in next PDU !

Problems/Modifications compiling SAMBA 2.2-alpha1 on SCO Openserver 5.0.5a
Hello, after one small modification I was able to compile samba. I have not yet tried to use it, but at least swat is working.
