Webtrends drops connection to samba server (1345 does not help)
I have been tinkering with this problem for a little while now, and someone
had previously suggested:
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1345
As a possible solution. The description and symptoms sound just like my
problem, but even with the patch installed it is still one busted connection.
Essentially what happens is that windows XP is connected fine, I can browse
the share, open

Modify but not create permissions
I am still trying to figure out why samba wont let me create in subdirectories
I've tripple checked everything and a few things leapt out at me.
*) I can modify a file inside a directory that I cannot create a file in. I
did not know it was possible under linux to do that.
*) If I set all perms on 777 I can create. But neither 775 or 755 will allow
it.
*) When I go into a mount

Help with Gizmo from outside firewall
I've beaten myself bloody dealing with this one... No luck so far. In
summary, incoming calls from Gizmo establish, but neither get nor send
sound. Outbound calls to Gizmo work fine (well a bit choppy but work)
My thought is that the SIP connection is being made fine, but the RTP
is getting stopped / blocked / misdone somewhere.
Here is the thing:

fixme:ole:OLEPictureImpl_SaveAsFile
Hello:
I'm trying to get Webtrends 6.5 working on Wine 1.2.0 (on Fedora 13). The main Webtrends app (wt_log.exe) runs fine, until I try to generate a report and I get the error in Wine:
fixme:ole:OLEPictureImpl_SaveAsFile
When this happens, I get an error in Webtrends:
"unable to extract bmpinfo (using vic32.dll) from file..."
I've tried installing "dcom98" with

looking for CentOS 5.0 x86_64 dvd iso (preferably not torrent); must be 5.0
Hi;
I'm looking for CentOS 5.0 x86_64 dvd iso (preferably not torrent); must be 5.0
All my web searches have come up with more recent versions of 5.x, not 5.0.
Can someone give me a URL I can wget with? I'd even be willing to
throttle down the wget).
Thanks,

Want MySQL source rpms pertinent to CentOS 5.4; what packages should I request via yum?
Hi;
I want MySQL source rpms pertinent to CentOS 5.4; what packages should I
request via yum?
I first went to mysql.org but I could not find (perhaps I am blind) any
MySQL source tarballs or rpms, only binary rpms.
I would like to compile MySQL from source.
BTW, what happened to centos.org? When using Firefox or Chrome it looks
like it is text-only as if I were visiting it with lynx!
Thanks

Wine 1.2, how to run services?
Hello:
I am running Wine 1.2.0 on a Fedora 13 box. I'm trying to install Webtrends 6.5 , which can run its scheduler in service mode. It installs the service OK, and I can see the service using the "sc" and "net" commands in wine. However I cannot figure out how to start the service. I've tried using "wine net start {servicename}" , and it says that it

automating smbclient tasks
Ladies and Gents,
My project requires me to share IIS log files with my Linux box.
The outcome of this solution is using Webalizer instead of horrid
Webtrends. I have testing most of this procedure, Webalizer does great
with the combined log files (using mergelog). In any case, I need to
script the download of the files from one server to another. I use
something of the following to connect

difficulties in compiling php-5.3.29 source from php.net using CentOS 7
Hello;
I'm having difficulties in compiling php-5.3.29 source from php.net
using CentOS 7.
I need to bring my PHP development and production environment forward
from PHP 5.3.3 which is using an abandoned php-template application
from sourceforge. Since I need to do this in stages (it would be nice
if I could just install the CentOS 7 php and apache versions with the

Buenas a todos,
Ante todo decir que estoy haciendo mis primeros pinitos en R y además a

La duda que os propongo me ha surgido al intentar ejecutar una función. No
sé si es una duda muy estúpida o no lo es, pero así a botepronto no he
podido encontrar solución googleando. Si me podéis echar una mano con ella

Using CentOS 4.4 on very old Dell Inspiron 3500 laptop; would like suggestions regarding using KDE/GNOME in low RAM and low disk situation
Hi;
I'm new to the CentOS list and I only have experience with CentOS 4.3/4.4
on desktops. I just installed CentOS 4.4 on a very old Dell Inspiron 3500
laptop. I choose the desktop option and then deleted the kde and gnome
packages because I have only 192mb RAM and 4gb disk (total). I'd like
suggestions on how to maximize the effective usage of the laptop with CentOS
4.4...as a

how to convert 7 cd iso images into one dvd image?
Hi;
how to convert 7 cd iso images into one dvd image?
I am unable to use bittorrent :-(
Home ISP blocking bittorrent; company now blocks bittorrent.
I want/need an old release (CentOS 5.2) to install as a VirtualBox guest.
I suppose I could install from the cd iso images, but it is a pain to
virtually eject and remount cd iso images during the install :-(
So, is there a technique or an open
