Accessing multiple Active Directory accounts simultaneously from a single Linux server
Hello,
I have been doing a lot of research on this subject and I'm not finding a clear answer. My company currently makes a video capture and transcoding application that runs on a Linux server. The video application mounts shares from a second Linux storage server for various users at the same time. In other words, we have:

Samba (winbind) integration into an Active Directory domain
Hello,
I have an existing Active Directory domain with a couple hundred
users. I am trying to setup our Linux (Gentoo specifically) servers
to allow "seamless" login integration at the console, via ssh and
possibly using smbmount.
I think I've got it pretty close, but seem to be missing something.
When my test user logs in, a home directory is created for them, the
console throws

Active Directory integration - where to go next??
Hi,
I think I've hit a bit of a brick wall with integrating Samba and Active
Directory and aren't sure which direction I should go - I've had a look
through the How-To and this made me doubt myself even more.
At the moment I've configured a Samba domain member to authenticate users
against AD. wbinfo and getent both correctly produce user/groups lists from
AD and test

Help with active directory integration
I have samba installed and joined to a Windows domain as a member server. I would like windows admins to be able to manage shares.
I have followed the docs on samba.org and I am on the last step which is to run net rpc rights grant 'SAMDOM\Domain Admins' SeDiskOperatorPrivilege -U'SAMDOM\administrator'
but it fails with an access denied error.
So my question is:

Why would I want Active Directory (rather, how to ar gue against it?)
I asked the same questions Brian when we upgraded our network from a Novell
NDS/Windows NT environment to Windows 2000 a couple of years ago. I thought
it overly complex and expensive. Admittedly the Samba PDC emulation was not
as advanced as it is now, but I could see nothing wrong with using a simple
NT domain model and Samba PDCs as the customer had <100 users.
The big arguments for were

Definitive HowTo for CENTOS 5 Winbind - Samba - Active Directory Integration
Hi all,
I have been out of the linux / unix loop for a good three years now, and a
lot has changed..
I have a windows 2003 server on my home office lan as my domain controller.
I would like to know if there is a good how-to that applies to Centos5 to
achieve the following:
Joining the centos machine to the AD domain (I believe I have done this
already)

[LLVMdev] About LLVM switch instruction
Hi Milind,
My suggestion just for your concern that if you eliminate the default
block, a block associated with a case value will become the default block
of the swhich instruction, since a switch instruction always requires a
default block.
But when a block associated with a case value become the default block, the
associated case value is lost and may confuse the later optimizations such

Integration with MS Active Directory
Hello all,
I'm following the howto
<http://wiki.freeradius.org/FreeRADIUS_Active_Directory_Integration_HOWTO>
http://wiki.freeradius.org/FreeRADIUS_Active_Directory_Integration_HOWTO to
integrate FreeRadius with Microsoft's AD. The first steps are to make the
linux box integrate with MS Active Directory, using some of the samba tools.
While working on this, I experienced some

Hi Milind,
Maybe you could annotate the default case value as metadata to the swith
instruction.
Thanks

Can you elaborate more on your suggestion? I am not sure I fully

Linux Active Directory Login
Im using Samba 3.0.0 and I am trying to get my Redhat 9 workstations to use
a Windows 2003 Active Directory server for authentication. Using LDAP for

I issue this command net rpc join -S <MYPDCDOMAINNAME> -U <MYADMINACCT>
I get joined the domain <MYDOMAIN>
winbindd does start
I issue wbinfo -u and it shows all the users on the domain.
I issue wbinfo -g and it shows all
