ATA 186 SIP behind XP Dynamic IP Firewall to Static Public Asterisk
Is it possible to set up the following? public IP Asterisk Server to ata 186 behind a XP server firewall. I think my biggest problem is that I don't know how to make XP forward the RTP port to the private ata address. I would put up some configs, but was hoping that someone one who has this working can share the working configurations incase mine are all messed up (which is likely.)

Sipura, Asterisk, *0, and Call Waiting
I have searched through all the lists and found that some people have had luck with flash hook, then *0 to answer a call waiting call. I have an Asterisk server with one FXO card, the dialtone for the fxo card is providing by another pbx called a Definity. When I am on the Sipura, and another call comes in, I hear the call-waiting indicator, when I flash hook I just hear tone, if I dial *0 I

Propose mount.cifs/smbfs able to mount the child folder of share folder
Hi Samba team, I feel user will feel more confortable when they can mount folder (via mount.cifs or mount.smbfs) under particular shared folder. Example: I have a share folder call department, all department's folder arrange inside so I have a share folder call \\server\department if I have a linux client under purchasing, I 2 command to get the correct place, and I feel it is giving more

Can't create files using Mac OSX Client against Sambaserver on Debian Linux
Well, after some more poking around, I discovered that this problem was not neccessarily a simple matter of getting Samba properly configured. For the benefit of the list, I've posted the following URL which takes you to a Debian bug report which starts out with a post describing the exact problem I'm seeing. As it turns out, it may have more to do with a problem with file locking

GARCH and forecasting
Dear R People: Is there a way to forecast with GARCH modeling as found in tseries, please? When I use the predict command, I get an output of length 100, regardless of what I put in the n.ahead steps. R Version 1.9.0 Thanks in advance. Permissions issue with CIFS mounted share
I've tried some internet and list searching, but I haven't been able to find anybody with the same issue. It's hard to search for "samba cifs force user problem" because it hits nearly every samba tech support question ever asked. The smbfs kernel module disappeared from the stock fedora kernels recently *crycry* Now my shares that were mounted via smbfs have to be mounted

Permissions issue with CIFS mounted share
>The smbfs kernel module disappeared from the stock fedora kernels >recently *crycry* Now my shares that were mounted via smbfs have to be >mounted via cifs. cifs is, apparantly, not a drop-in replacement for >smbfs however, as it behaves differnetly with the same configuration >options. Indeed, it does seem to be backwards in compatability as apposed to backwards compatable.

Config file references (was g726 not working)
>So in my sip.conf I put many variations of what I thought should go in >there, >finally including (to no avail): I have had to play this guessing game as well with other codecs/config file settings in general. And I think this email touches on something that has been troubling me for sometime. >You should allow "g726" only. I think one problem area of documentation

Fedora Core 5 & CIFS - please help!
After trying a couple of Linux forums & no help I'm hoping that somebody on the samba list knows how to solve this issue. I'm having a problem with CIFS. This is a fresh installation of Fedora Core 5. I have 3 XP machines that I mount by CIFS in my fstab. CIFS mounts the shares with no problem. I can view and read files on the shares. The problem I have is when I try to copy a file

Futzing with TaskScheduler
Hi all, Thought I should say something - it''s been a little while. :) Anyway, I''m still futzing with how I want the Ruby API to look. The more I look at the Perl version, the more I think it was too faithful to the C API. Right now I''m looking at the trigger() method. For example, I don''t see any reason to make the "type" key take a hash as an

By design/possible bug? Folders unmarked from sharing are still accessible
I'm on LinuxMint 17 Cinnamon desktop, Samba 4.2.1, and Windows 7 I can share folders fine, but when I unshare a folder, it remains visible and accessible to users. It should disappear and become inaccessible when unshared. Repro steps - sharing the folder: 1. Open up the Cinnamon file manager, navigate to Home folder. 2. Right click on Downloads, choose Sharing Options

Can't mount share DFS fron AD on a Linux Box.
Hello, I've got an Ubuntu Workstation integrated in an Active Directory domain. I'm really authenticated to the domain (with Kerberos clients, Winbind and Samba) and I can list the users of the domain with the wbinfo command. There's a DFS root share that is defined on each DC of the AD domain. When I try to mount that share with the mount.smbfs command : # mount -t smbfs

mount.cifs not reporting locking issues to Linux?
Hi there I recall in times past that when a locked file on a Windows server was accessed by smbfs, you received a kind of "text file busy" type error under Linux. However, on our CentOS4 servers running mount.cifs, accessing a locked file now only reports a "Permission denied" Wireshark shows the server sending "STATUS_FILE_LOCK_CONFLICT" errors to Linux, but it

vim timestamp issues on CIFS mounted shares
First: this is my first post on this list so any suggestions, let me know. I recently had to make the move from SMBFS to CIFS when I upgraded from Fedora 4 to 5. Changing settings in my /etc/fstab was easy and no errors come up but now I'm having an issue very similar to post I found on your list that got no response back in April: http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2006-April/119813.html

Samba windows mount problem - some files and directories can't be seen even though they exist!
Hi. I have mounted a Windows 2000 Pro computer under linux using: mount -t smbfs -o username=phill, password=xxxxx //winbox/drivec /mnt/winbox I can then jump into /mnt/winbox/ and navigate around the Win 2000 box. But... For some reason some of the files and directories on the windows computer are not showing up. For example, I have just moved a heap of wav files for our audio-processing

Quick thought on win32-mmap
I suggest getting rid of the hash style arguments fior new() for this package. In this particular case, you already have a class and accessors, so you can just use the yield trick, e.g. rb_yield(self) if rb_block_given_p(). Thus you can do: mm = Mmap.new do |m| m.namespace = file m.swapfile = sfile m.size = 1024 end Looks just as nice, and is a lot less code on the C side of

question about seq.dates from chron vs. as.POSIXct

Issues with cifs mounts following Samba upgrade to 3.0.23a
My LAN includes a server machine running FC4, with several shares mounted with Samba. Yesterday, I upgraded the packages on the FC4 machine, and these included Samba, which is now at 3.0.23a. Unfortunately, this seems to have broken the mounted shares for my Ubuntu 6.06 installation on my Acer 1682WLMI laptop. The cifs module on Ubuntu reports as version 1.39. The symptoms are that I can
