strategies to run two NT4 domains or merge them on one samba host
Hi,
we currently run one samba v3.0 domain "DOMAIN30" with WinXP domain
members and Win7/8 accessing the file server without domain membership.
Then we run a second samba v3.5 domain "NEWDOMAIN" with WinXP/7/8 domain
members. Which was migrated from a NT4 PDC to samba 3.0 and to v3.5
eventually.
Neither domain has anything fancy about it: users and joined workstations,

Linux Dom0 <-> Solaris prepared Volume
Hi all
heve been trying (in vain) to get a Solaris b44 DomU (dowloaded from
Sun) running on a Linux Xenhost
I followed exactly how, and it looked ok when it starts booting...
But it never boots .
adapted the configfile to boot with -v (that I can see at least
something) and this is what I get

prblem with NA
Hi all
I have a data set with the total number of columns =ncol, and the total
number of rows=nrow. I am trying to loop over the values and id the value is
less than or equal to 100 to be changed to 1. if the value is greater than
100 , to be changed to 0. if NA , let X[i,j]=NA. I ran into a problem where
if one row in my data set had all values =NA, then the program does not
continue working

Slow Samba writes over NFS
Hello...
Currently in the process of upgrading Samba v2.0.10 to Samba v3.0.x, while
conducting some minimal testing, it turns-out that Samba v3.0.x is
performing slower than Samba v2.0.10.
Set-ups:
A. Samba v3.0.x -->
Same PC client is accessing the samba share running on Red Hat 4.5 (64bit,
HP DL380) which in turn has an NFS mount coming from another SAN attached

UDMA2.SYS author now worked around it, it seems you do something with "DPTE" in isolinux.asm but not using it (probably for memdisk or direct floppy/harddisk emulation?).
also something about EDD v1.1 and v3.0 specifications and setting bits to 1.
Anyway, the driver works now on:

Re: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #4041 - 11 msgs
Hi,
You need to set the DialPlan parameter to allow the proper
number of digits to be collected, for all types of numbers
used in your system. I believe that the factory default
value would work for long numbers beginning 0011, but your unit
was probably previously configured for a different environment
or country. Below is an extract from the example in my H.323
firmware; I believe that

Services will not start automatically
Since upgrading a Linksys WRT3200ACM router from firmware DD-WRT
v3.0-r39654 std (04/25/19) to firmware DD-WRT v3.0-r41586 std (11/21/19),
the Samba Services will not start automatically. If the power is lost or
the router is rebooted, the Samba Server has to be restarted (without
making any setting changes) by Applying and Saving the Settings.
Are there specific configurations and/or settings

Slow Samba writes over NFS
Hi...
Same problem here,
running on CentOS 5.* and 4.5.
It was solved by installing the package lockdev.
Then you must restart the machine.
And problem fixed.

Add CONFIGISOLINUX, CONFIGSYSLINUX, CONFIGEXTLINUX and CONFIGPXELINUX
I would like to see that it is possible to specify which config file should be loaded.
I would like to have an extension of the CONFIG command. Normally CONFIG loads the file that is specified after it. It should be nice if syslinux/isolinux/pxelinux/extlinux can choose which config file to load, based on the bootloader from which the current config is runned. If

problem with xp profiles and My documents contents
hi all,

standalone or connected to a network.
Both users are storing lots of pictures on their C drive which are visible

Hello,
I have a question regarding how to speed up the t.test on large dataset. For example, I have a table "tab" which looks like:
a b c d e f g h....
1
2
3
4
5
...
100000
dim(tab) is 100000 x 100
I need to do the t.test for each row on the two subsets of columns, ie to compare a b d group against e f g group at each row.
subset 1:
a b d

2
3
4
5
...

Upgrading from V3.0 production system to V3.3
Before I undertake this upgrade I thought I would see if anyone has any advice
on how to do this on a production system. Maybe someone has already "fought
this dragon".
Current config Gluster V3.0.0. This has been in production for over 16 months:
2 servers with 8 x 2TB hard drives (bricks) replicated

AW: Query: IRR Confidence Intervals
Hi Cristian,
I don't know about a R routine for exact CIs, but I found a function called
"ageadjust" using a gamma distribution approximation some time ago -take a
look at http://medepi.org/epitools/rfunctions/index.html.
That Webpage seems a bit outdated now, but the calculations given in the
ageadjust functions should still work, I think.
Maybe this helps;
regards
Heinrich.
