Hi all! I've got an OS X Server (10.3.7) running the built-in version of Samba (3 something). I've got one sharepoint set up ("Apps") with 2 DOS applications in it. One is an old DOS version of Q&A (4, if it really matters). The other is a custom application that is text based. (.bat files, for the most part. A couple of complied pieces done in Turbo Basic.) We have a customer system running Slackware Linux (kernel 2.4.25) and Samba. The customer was running Samba 2.2.8 but we recently upgraded them to Samba 3.0.13. The customer has a FileMaker database on a public share. Before the upgrade, the customer was able to have multiple concurrent access to the database. After the upgrade, only the first user to access the database was successful.

I am using samba3 on centos5 and have a problem with the 'homes' share. I have existing Linux home directories. When I access the samba server from the windows terminal server (via \\servername) I see 2 shares, backup and mikeg (my username). The mikeg share takes me to my Linux home directory so all seems well. The problem I have is that any file I try to open opens read only. I did
