Windows offline files synchronization failure for mounted Samba drive.
Windows offline files synchronization fails for mounted Samba drive unless
files are "owned" by the user performing the synchronization.
You can duplicate this problem by making a folder or file which is located
on a samba mounted drive available offline.

intermittent segfault upon invocation
Wine release 20010510 on Linux 2.4.4 SMP compiled from source code.
One in ten times, when I start wine (with an executable or without) the
program will segfault.
Notes:
1. This doesn't happen when I run wine under the debugger.
2. I turned on --debugmsg +all to see if I could pinpoint the reason.
When it deosn't segfault, I get loads of debug messages. When it DOES
fault, I get

tinc detects itself on the VPN due to intermittent connection problems, and dies
A relatively recent update (1-2 months) has introduced a fairly major
issue where connection issues seem to cause tinc to decide that there's
another node of the same name on the VPN, leading to it quitting.
It seems that it's detecting itself somehow, through an older
connection, perhaps? The daemon stopping itself is a major problem,
though, as it has to be manually restarted.

Intermittent connection failure
Hi,
i have sporadic connection problems with my rsync server.
I have _no_ firewall involved and there is _no_ max connections set.
rsync on the clients is started from cron via a bash script. There's
also no permission problem. rsyncd runs as daemon (is not started from
inetd).
It sometimes works, but every third or fourth rsync fails with this message:
rsync: failed to connect to

Solaris Samba 3.5.8 [homes] configuration - intermittent connection failures
Our Solaris 5.10 was running Samba 3.0 with ADS security against winbind
and krb5.conf, and all users were able to access it from any Windows system.
Following the upgrade to a new AD server running 2008 RC2, we had to
upgrade samba on most Unix systems. On Solaris, the new version was 3.5.8
from Sun.
I found more config options were required to get the [homes] section to
succeed, although

sudden intermittent (but predictable) logon & connection failures
Hi List,
This one has me completely stumped. I hope that someone out there can
help.
Setup: 1 PDC (Samba 3.0.10-1.4E.2 from redhat as 4) also doing WINS. [I
know there's an update, but it doesn't help. I'm trying to keep as many
variables static for troubleshooting as possible.]
On March 8, my server rebooted mysteriously overnight (the only info I
have is from the BMC, which

Unknown connection error: (2006) MySQL server has gone away
Hi,
I get the following after a call has finished:
ERROR[6862]:mysql_log: cdr_mysql: Unknown connection error: (2006)
MySQL server has gone away
Does this error message only appear when asterisk makes a new connection
to mysql, because the old connection was stale (and dropped) ?
If so, is there a way to get asterisk to stop reporting this as an error
seeing it seems to write the CDR to

SMB slow by design?
Hello list,
I have observed quite low bandwidth usage when copying files over SMB.
This happens for at least three cases I have tested:
* Windows 98 SE reading from a Samba 3.0.22 smbd
* Windows XP reading from a Samba 3.0.23d
* smbclient reading from 127.0.0.1 (3.0.23d)
According to iptraf, the average transfer rate was oscillating between
8604.60 kbps and 8654.20 kbit/s, copying a

too much work?
Hi,
Since I managed to get Samba working I've noticed that when I copy large
files, or lots of little ones ( about 4Gbs Worth), I get a message on
the Linux box saying;
Eth0: too much work at interrupt, intrstatus=0x0040
Now so far nothing has gone wrong, i.e. corrupt files etc
Is this something I should be worried about?
If not how do I stop the message from appearing?
If it is a problem

ANALOG FXO ZAPTEL & WCFXO & WCTDM module issues seen with intermittent analog lines
Hello, I have found a "bug", I think in the way TDM400P cards handle FXO
interface disconnect/re-connect problems. Normally I do keep all the wires
connected from my CO / PABX quite securely, but I had a need to re-route the
cable from one side of the desk to another, and I simply disconnected the
RJ-45 connector and plugged it back in. THIS PROMPTLY RESULTED IN VERY VERY
