Hello All
Can someone please help me understand what could be the reason SPENGO fails
with windows AD server?
SPNEGO login failed: The transport connection is now disconnected.
error_string : 'failed to lookup DC info for domain '
DOMAIN.COM <http://domain.com/>' over rpc: The transport connection is now
disconnected.'
Thanks in Advance

3.x build and 'net ads join' no longer work in 3.6.0
Hi Gurus,
I've been trying to compile SaMBa 3.6.0 for its SMB2 support on/off half
time
for about two weeks. I've built ealier versions of 3.x and most recently
3.4.2
following the same procedure but it no longer works for 3.6.0. I'm about
ready to give up and hope that someone here might be able to give me a clue.
I would grab a pre-built package but neither sunfreeware nor

Intermittent failure of net ads join command with error "The transport connection is now disconnected"
Hello All
I am seeing following error intermittently when I try to join the samba
machine into AD controlled by windows machine.
Failed to join domain: failed to lookup DC info for domain '3DFSTESTAD.COM'
over rpc: The transport connection is now disconnected.
If we repeat the same command with same configuration and credentials, it
succeeds.

net ads join -> "The connection was refused"
Hai,
You need to use samba-tool to join the DC.
The info can be found here :

net ads join fails in Ubuntu 14.04 in AWS
Hi all
EC2 Ubuntu 14.04 instances can't join domain. Same setup works fine for local virtual machines.

Join multiple CTDB managed Samba servers into Active Directory
Hi ,
I have set up a 2-node CTDB cluster serving NFS and CIFS authenticating
Windows and Linux users via Active Directory.
The setup works fine, except only one server in the CTDB-cluster is able to
join the AD domain at a given instance. If you manually add the other server
into AD, the already connected server gets disconnected. There is no
specific error message logged in /var/log/message or

net ads join fails
Oh, I have a pair of samba-4.1.17-DC's, raspberry-pi and dc2 to which make the domain ad.dilken.eu on site Neuoetting.
resolv.conf points to the two dc's:
search ad.dilken.eu
nameserver 192.168.2.33
nameserver 192.168.2.2
In the output I find some relations to dc2 resp. 192.168.2.2, but perhaps it doesn't work as expected..
Greetings

net join problems
My last install of Samba was 3.2.2 on Solaris 10 Sparc platform. Had no
problems. I'm now trying to install 3.4.0 on Solaris 10 x86 platform.
With 3.2.2 I would join our Windows domain as such:
net join -S servername -w DOMAIN_NAME -U username
All worked fine. Now with 3.4.0 I'm getting usage error trying to do the
same thing. Here is my config:
# ./testparm

Can't mount samba drive or join domain with W2K3 server
Please cc me on replies.
My employer recently upgraded to W2K3. I have no control over the
employer's set up and limited access to information. Under the old
server, everything was working fine. Now I can't mount the shared drive
anymore.
I'm running Debian sid; samba 3.0.6-3.

HELP - winbind/PAM issues
I have a laptop with fedora core 3 installed. I have an NT domain that I
would like to use for all authentication (Linux and Windows). As a test I
decided to focus on ssh authentication. I have completed the following:
Created the smb.conf:
[global]
workgroup = DOMAIN_NAME
server string = Linux Workstation
log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log
max log size = 50
security = domain

Compatibility issue: OpenSSH v2.3.0p1 vs. 3.0.2: RSA keys
Hello,
I think I found a problem that should not happen:
An OpenSSH client v3.0.2 on Solaris and an OpenSSH server 2.3.0p1 on HP-
UX had a problem when authenticating:
Password login worked fine, but a password for an existing and
configured RSA1 key was never asked, the key never tried. It always
fell back to plain password authentication.
After fiddling with the client configuration
