Problem with OpenLDAP/Samba/NSS -> ERROR : User xxx in passdb, but getpwnam() fails!
Hi everybody,
I have one SAMBA server (with PDC configuration) which is configure to
use an OpenLDAP server (on the same local server) where users and
computers account are store (I want to have the two Unix/Linux and Samba
account attributes stored to use Name Service Switch and Pluggable
Authentication Module).
My problem is as follow :

Hi,
I am using Samba (v2.2.3a-12.3 on stable Debian Woody) on a bi-cpu server
(named MYSRV) acting as a primary domain controller. All works well except
for printers where I have severals little problems. I use LPRng (v3.8.10-1.2
on stable Debian Woody) as my linux lpd spooler on my server. I have 2
printers : one HP LaserJet 4000N (named nss.1er) and one HP LaserJet 4050N
(named nss.rdc).

Push install printers from a samba server
Hi there. I was wondering if anyone had a link to a good tutorial (or docs) in regards
to setting up a push install of printers (HP 4200N) from a samba server (CentOS 4) to a
mixed windows (98,2k,xp) enviorment. Now I have been investigating using a BAT file in a
logon script, but the results seem to be unpredictable (maybe i am usign them wrong?).

PrintPreview extremely slow with Samba network printers
I am using Microsoft .NET (2.0) PrintPreviewDialog to
preview reports, and all works well when the Windows
default printer is set to a local printer or a
network printer on a Windows server, but if I set it
to a Samba network printer, it slows down to a
crawl. With a Windows server network printer, it
takes about 10 seconds to render 100 pages. With a
