Erratic behavior when Windows XP clients attempt to login to PDC
I have noticed while testing my Samba 3.0.2a primary and backup domain controllers with Windows XP clients, that when I attempt to login to the Samba PDC, the XP client will sometimes randomly choose the backup domain controller. I only want the client to join the backup domain controller when the PDC is offline. I am not experiencing any random network outages or DNS failures so I am bewildered

Browse Domain users from XP client -not possible
Hi I am unfortunate not able to browse any users in my samba-ldap domain. ex. if I want to add the user swi more premissions on a samba share folder (security-->add-> advanced-->find now--> the smbldap domain users and groups are not shown anymore? This same goes if i want to add a user as local administrator on a joined XP PC - same problem. I am using and a RHES 4 update 3

XP not joining domain
Hi I have a small problem with joining a XP box to a Samba domain, which I hope that someone can put some light on. The setup: Samba 3.0.4 using ldap for users. Cannot Map drive from XP to Samba shared folder

Windows XP x64 (64bit) cannot join samba domain
Hi, I`m having an issue trying to get Windows XP 64bit to join my samba domain. User Cant Change Password from Windows XP

PDC+LDAP+Win2k/XP domain logon

samba 3.2.3: win2k join fails, xp join works
Hi, I recently upgraded my pdc server(samba3.0.x+ldap) to debian lenny( samba 3.2.3).
