Wave Header Question
I'm reordering the code in ao_wav.c that writes wav files to prevent the
problem we had earlier. If ogg123 was improperly terminated (Segfault,
kill -9, etc.), the output wav file was not even recognizable because the
header was totally blank.
I have found that at the start of playback (from libao's perspective), I know
all of the wav header info except two things:
1) The length of the

Some additional info:

AS/U as a member server on a SAmba PDC
Hi team,
I actually managed to join AS/U (version 4.0 on AIX) into a domain, with a
Samba PDC. Samba tells me that the AS/U server is a member, but there is
still some failing dialog between AS/U and Samba. For instance, I can't
access to AS/U's shares, it seems that I fall into a timeout, and more
presumably a schannel error (even increasing log level gives me few
informations...).

PIPE\lsarpc initialisation failed !
Hi all,
I encounter a problem when I try to connect a Samba3 server as a BDC on a ASU
HP/9000 PDC server.
We manage to start the communication between both computers, but it doesn't
achieve it. It failed when trying to bind to PIPE\lsarpc. Can anyone give some
help please ?
Let's note that I can get the SID from net getlocalsid command, and that I can

2gig limit
I'm running into a 2gig file limit when copying files from a linux machine
running smbmount 3.0.2a-Debian and kernel 2.4.23 connecting to another
debian machine running smbd 3.0.2a-Debian with the stock 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel
that comes with debian stable (though the machine has been upgraded to sid).
If I run this on the client side
dd if=/dev/zero of=test.junk bs=1k

kenrel 2.6.4 patch for fixing warning of smbfs on high gid/uid
Hello,
when i compiled latest linux 2.6.4 kernel source with gcc 3.3.2 on
Linux/x86,
i got a few warnings about varaibles beeing compared against constants
where the range of the variable is so that the expression is always
constant.
The explicit comparison has to do with the code for high-uid and gid sheme.
attached you will find a diff which does eliminate this error message
by introducing an

Backup from Linux onto Win2K-share
Hi.
I'm running Kernel 2.4.19 and Samba 2.2.5.
I'm in need to do a backup out of big SAPDB database (60 GB)
onto a share on a Win2K-box (all my databases have to backup
onto this w2K-box where they get saved on tape).
This works fine as long as it comes to 2 GB. Than it stops with
the message "file size exceeded". Obviously there is a file size limit
somewhere in Samba.

network printers
Hi,
I've configured Samba as PDC. It is to serve Windows 98/2000/XP workstations.
Firstly everything works fine but with adding new users to the domain there
occurs serious trouble. The network printers begin to refuse access. And then
I noticed that the workstations begin to refuse access too.

"Infinite" wav files
Okay, before I submit my patch to make libao produce sorta-streamable wav
files, I want to know what these partial wav files do to various
players. I've posted two sample wav files on my webserver:

The first uses a riff and data length of 0xFFFFFFFF (approximately
infinite) and second uses a riff and

smbfs pc-netlink problem
I posted basically this problem yesterday with no response, but I have some
new information so here's a rego.
I mount a solaris box which is sharing files with pc-netlink
I use the following line in my fstab
//machinename/Share /mnt/machinename/share smbfs
credentials=/etc/fstabpwds/username,ro,user 0 0
And it mounts fine, I can access all the directories, and most of the files.
