ulog support in shorewall?
Hi, I''ve just recently switched off my (lame) hardware firewall onto an old box running linux 2.4.18, iptables 1.2.6 and shorewall 1.2.9. I''m kinda new to linux firewalling myself but so far Shorewall has taken much work from me. While reading myself into iptables I saw that just recently something called ULOG (userspace logging) has been implemented in newer kernels and

enable fulldata journaling
Hi, well I've deployed ext3 on two machines already and so far it does its job excellently at no (for me) noticable performance loss. I hope it gets incorporated into stock kernels by Linus soon. Anyways I've been hearing about ext3 supporting full-data journalling on a per-file basis but couldn't find any detailed info about it. Even tried grep'ing throught the source. How

A few quick questions regarding the journal.
Hi, I've just recently noticed that the ext3 projects is being actiavely maintained (again?). And looking at the new pages for 2.4.x it really made me interested. But I've got a few small questions I'd like to clarify before I start to use it. 1) Tune2fs and mke2fs talk about a "default journal size" that is depending on the partition size but don't give

Vorbis / Delphi Question
Hi all. I just downloaded the vorbisdll_bin.zip file from the archive, which appears to be the complete libvorbis in DLL format. This is wonderful news, as I was trying to convert the C library to a Delphi library by hand, and it was very slow in going. The only question I have is has anyone translated the necessary structures from C to Delphi yet? I noticed in the list that someone

strange speed issue
Hello, I'm trying to connect some windows machines together using tinc 1.0.6. The basic connectivity (ping) works fine as expected. But I'm getting really poor speeds over the tinc tunnel. The test machines are on the same switch and get values ranging from 6-9 MBytes/s speaking directly to each other. However over the tinc tunnel the speeds are in the range of 20-40 kbytes/s. The machines

[PATCH]ocfs2-1.2: Add dput for uuid entry.
In ocfs2-1.2, when we mount a device, a debugfs dir will be created using its uuid. When 2 devices have the same uuid, after the 1st device is mounted, the 2nd one can't be mounted. This is OK. But the problem is that the dentry's reference is added. So when the 1st volume is umounted, none of these 2 volumes can be mounted then. So this fix solves this problem by dputting the

[LLVMdev] llvm/llvm-gcc-4.2 and xplor-nih
I am happy to report that current llvm/llvm-gcc-4.2 svn builds all of xplor-nih (a complex mix of c, c++ and fortran) with -O3 -fPIC -msse4 -ffast-math. A single fortran file exposes PR3376 which is triggered by -O3 -ffinite-math-only. The resulting build of xplor-nih completely passes its testsuite and compares very well to the same build against gcc trunk for gcc 4.4 in terms of execution time.

BackgrounDRb New release.
Howdy Folks- I''m happy to announce a new release of BackgrounDRb! I have added quite a few new features and included some nice patches from folks on the list. $ script/plugin install svn://rubyforge.org//var/svn/backgroundrb All of the code now stays within the plugin and the start and stop scripts are now just stubs. This makes it easier to tweak or figure out how it works.

Impossible to connect to ANY yp server
Greetings I'm having problems announcing my stream on any yp server, using Icecast v1.3.12 compiled with the optimization support.. I have tried every directory server I could find, but I still get the same result. When I start icecast with an yp server available, I get this: [09/Feb/2003:14:52:47] Using xaudiocast directory server [yp.icecast.org:80/cgi-bin/touch] .. and then I don't
