Accessing SIP username from AGI script
Hi,
I'm writing an AGI script to manage outgoing calls. We need to
interrogate a database to work out which line a particular user is
allowed to use for outgoing calls. However, I cannot find a way for
my AGI script to access the SIP username. Does anyone know if this is
possible (even if it is just passing a variable from extensions.conf
to the script)?
Thanks in advance,
David

lstats on all files in Maildir when opening an e-mail.
Hi,
I'm running RC19 on a Solaris 10 SPARC box.
It seems that whenever I open an e-mail in any folder via IMAP, dovecot
appears to scan every other folder in the Maildir.
A truss reveals that it is lstat-ing every e-mail in every directory.
I'm sorry I am sending only a fragment of the truss, it's really too
long... but is this behaviour expected?
Cheers,

in-memory test database -- where''s the schema?
I''m trying to get the unit testing for a new project to use the wonderful
:memory: database specification for SQLite. However, like many people
before me, I can''t get the schema to import or have anything else useful.
Initially, the error I get is:
/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/sqlite3-ruby-1.1.0/lib/sqlite3/errors.rb:94:in

Experiment in Online Mongrel Chat Support
Hi Folks,
I was playing with Lingr today (http://www.lingr.com) and kind of like
it, so I thought I''d setup a little room and see how it works for
answering Mongrel questions.
http://www.lingr.com/room/3yXhqKbfPy8
I''ll be hanging there for a while and we''ll see how it works out. If it
works well, and doesn''t turn into a nastier-than-IRC situation then I

Can't create users and groups
Hi,
I'm making a qmail RPM.
All goes well, except that the users and groups are not being created.
And they must be before running "make setup check".
I've tried all locations in the spec file, but nothing :(
Following my signature is the relevant part of the spec file.
Any help would be appreciated.
Warm Regards

Mails causing imap process to hang.
Hi Timo,
We are getting e-mails from a certain domain that seem to cause the IMAP
process to hang.
Here's how it looks like if we issued a FETCH 40 FULL:

NYC Ruby Job Fair ‹ April 25th
=== NYC Ruby Job Fair -- April 25th
The NYC Ruby meetings lately have looked a lot like middle school dances.
On one side of the room is people saying, "Gee, I wish I could work
full-time doing Ruby or Ruby on Rails." On the other side of the room are
companies saying, "Wow, those Ruby people sure look cute, I wish they would
all come work for me." The music is playing, the

E-Mail Serving Options
Hi All,
What are my e-mail serving options? I need to host POP, IMAP and SMTP.
I must admit that non-windows e-mail hosting has always been a chore
for me. I remember QMail and QPopper IIRC.

nfs and pop3
Hi,
I'm working with dovecot 1.0.beta2 for pop3 only and have set
index=memory, so no indizes are created on the disk. pop3_uidl_format is
set to %f. The maildirs are located on an nfs-share.
So generally, this setup is very similar to what qmail-popup and
qmail-pop3d does. However, everytime I'm switching from qmail-pop3d to
dovecot, the system load increases from less than 2 to more

Draw Overlapping Circles with shaded tracks
Dear All:
Thank you very much for all of you.
I just have one more thing. Is there a way to fill the borders with small
dots, may be different sizes.
I tried to do it, but it looks ugly.
Here what I tried:
library(plotrix)
plot(0:10, 0:10, type="n",axes=FALSE,xlab="",ylab="") #### 0:5,
draw.circle(4,5,radius=3,border="#ff0000aa", lwd=75)

quota calculating
Hey everyone,
Currently where I work we use qmail. Every time a message is delivered,
qmail seems to walk through the user's entire maildir in order to
calculate quota usage. Delivering messages simultaneously to just a few
users who are allowed large maildirs (1-2GB) will bring our servers to
their knees. Which brings me to dovecot. I use dovecot whereever I can,
but haven't yet

Speeding indexing and sub-sectioning of 3d array
Hi,
I am having a problem with a very slow indexing and sub-sectioning of a 3d
array:

For each point in the array, I am trying to calculate the mean of the values
in its surrounding:
mean( arr[ (i - radius):(i + radius),
(j - radius):(j + radius),
(k - radius):(k + radius)] )
Putting that code in 3

WINS serving

Any one know how to set up two WINS servers (on different machines for
resilience) using Samba?
Also, whislt I'm on the subject. Suppose I have a machine with multiple
(physical) interfaces, each with a unique IP address. When it ('s nmbd)
registers with teh WINS server does it register all its addresses?
Moreover, when the

Dovecot under daemontools
Hi there
I'm having difficulties in getting dovecot to run under daemontools. Also,
from a sysadmin perspective, so far, I find dovecot's config rather complex
- I suppose that's what happens when one attempts to appease all
authentication methods... anyway, I digress.
System details, to set the scene:
OS: Slackware Linux
Linux Kernel: 2.4.29
GCC: 3.2.2
Dovecot version: 1.0.rc6

Hi,
I have a polygon inside a circle as follows:

xx <- c(x,-x)
yy <- c(y,-y)

ylab="", xlab="", axes=F)
radius <- 2.7
