XP Issues
We have a samba server acting as a PDC for approx 100 Windows 2000
workstations, and it has been doing so very well for the last year. We
just purchased some XP Pro machines, and using the registry edit that's
listed in the docs, we were able to get them on to the domain.
The issue is that the very first time they try to view any drives mapped
to the Samba server, it hangs for a good 30-40

Changing file permissions in Windows XP with a samba PDC
Question about changing file permissions in Windows XP when running
samba as a PDC.
If you hit Properties and go to the security tab, instead of listing
the proper group/user names it lists the full SID.
Is there a way to get Windows XP to map these to the proper user/group names?
I am using LDAP as a backend with Samba.
Thanks.

[Fwd: Re: Need Samba 3.0.0 help] More info...
Well folks this is getting irritating.
When we map our Solaris Home directory to a network drive on the NT side of
life then attempt to "make a new folder"
it actually does make the new folder in the home directory, but it just hangs
up on the Windows side.
Any ideas why we don't get a return response?
Another thing is that if we select a ".txt" file to view, the log files

creating a new column assigning values of other columns
Hello,
?
I have to create a new column from the values of other columns of a data frame. The new?column (y$n) is created imposing a condition (using a third variable y$h) that assigns the values of two time variables (y$b and y$timepos). Here's the piece of code to get there (using the attached files):
