Filename problem (filenames containing slashes aka. \ and /)
I'm currently in the process of creating a fileserver so some mac guys at the company I work at can save files as a backup medium. (long story short i'm creating a fileserver running samba 3 with 1TB of storage) However, a lot of the files that they want backed up contain characters that samba refuses to accept (when I try transferring a file to the samba share with say the filename as

[LLVMdev] Sporadic "RealOffset <= INT32_MAX && RealOffset >= INT32_MIN" failures with MCJIT on Windows
Hi, We are seeing sporadic crashes since we migrated to MCJIT on Win64. The same tests pass without issues on Mac64 and Linux64. The issue is this assertion failure in RuntimeDyldELF.c: RealOffset <= INT32_MAX && RealOffset >= INT32_MIN I haven't managed to successfully catch the failure in Visual to try and debug it. Any tips on how to make progress? Oh, and we're on

[LLVMdev] Sporadic "RealOffset <= INT32_MAX && RealOffset >= INT32_MIN" failures with MCJIT on Windows
So it appears that we get about half the crashes with the large code model. The rest are crashing in the same way. It could either mean that large code model still takes that crashing codepath and that the number of crashes only went down by chance, or that in one place in the flow, large code model is not matched to mean ELF::R_X86_64_PC64. I'm digging into this issue further, but any hints

Trust between two samba
I have a problem with Samba: I want to make trust between two Samba domains. I have setup the trust on the DOMAINB server then on the Samba DOMAINA server "net rpc trustdom establish DOMAINB" I then get the following: Password: [entered password] Could not connect to server SERVERB [this is the PDC for the DOMAINB domain] Trust to domain DOMAINB established When I then try

failing to browse unix shares with samba 3.0.2a
We upgraded our Solaris 9 samba server to version 3.0.2a and configured Kerberos MIT 1.3.2. I was able to run kinit and join samba to our windows 2003 domain as a domain member, but when I am trying to browse the samba shares from a windows XP machine it is failing. When I am looking at the samba logs this is what I am getting: [2004/03/30 11:15:26, 3]

Using Samba over VPN - shares disconnect on Windows clients
I am running Poptop 1.1.4 VPN server, Samba 3.0.6, RH 9 (2.4.20-8 patched for mppe-mppc). When the end user connects via VPN, they can create a share to the samba shared folder that was created. When they clost the explorer window, then reopen the shared drive from the "My Computer" view, the share can not be re-opened with the error that the mapped drive is alreay in use. I have

[LLVMdev] Sporadic "RealOffset <= INT32_MAX && RealOffset >= INT32_MIN" failures with MCJIT on Windows
Hi Dale, I don't think that Keno's rewrite is applicable for a bug fix release. We have, in the last year, moved to having some dot releases for our older releases, but these are definitely bug fix only and low risk as we don't want to break anything new. The release documentation is located here: http://llvm.org/docs/HowToReleaseLLVM.html for future reference. There's no

will BDC work if PDC crashes?
Hello, Will BDC work if PDC crashes or there is no connectivity between them? I assume that the servers are storing users / passwords in LDAP database; both BDC and PDC have LDAP running locally (changes in PDC are replicated to BDC). Will users be able to log into the domain / use roaming profiles with no PDC (as it crashed or link was broken), when only BDC is running? Tomek

Sporadic Copying XP/2000
Hello, I've setup a basic Linux Workgroup via SAMBA. Everything is working fine except for the following: I just replaced a Windows 2003 Storage Server with CentOS 5.1. When my users start copying TIF images from the now CentOS 5.1 server, XP copies the images sporadically. For example: folder1, folder2, folder3, folder4; each folder has 5 sub-folders in it numbered sequentially

sporadic errors with nlrq() / optim()
Dear List, Apologies if this is a known problem ... I wasn't able to find it on the bug list, but it is a problem that does not seem to occur with a MAC build of R 2.0, so perhaps this problem has already been addressed for the future. I am getting *sporadic* errors when refitting the same model to the same data set, using nlrq() in the nlrq package. The algorithm is not stochastic, so I

Sporadic one way audio problem
Hi all again, I've got a problem with sporadic one way audio calls, which means sometimes I can't hear the calling party (call is established, but audio is missing). Today I received ~90 calls, one of them got this problem. I've got two networks involved, without NAT: - 192.168.1.X, in there one nic of my server and all the phones - a private net to my provider, in there a nic of my

Sporadic network issues
I'm seeing this problem with both the virtio and e1000 driver with both linux and windows guests. About 5 - 10% of the VMs I launch have network problems. They seem to always get an IP from the DHCP server (dnsmasq), but afterwards either they can not make an outside network connection or they lose connectivity at a later time. Sometimes the connectivity comes back, sometimes it doesn't.
