dovecot-uidlist is not up-to-date
Hi,
?Am using dovecot-2.2.10-8 on Centos-7 and everything seemed to be
totally fine for many years. Now am trying to migrate our on-premises
mail server to the cloud and I had to get some statistics. I was doing
that using the doveadm utility.
Unfortunately I found that the numbers don't match if I check the real
messages in my Maildirs. For some account doveadm was reporting number

Package to work with weight based data
Hi Biswajit Kar,
Take a look at this CRAN Task:
https://cran.r-project.org/web/views/OfficialStatistics.html
Also, I've been re-writing functions of package "ineq" so that they
accept weights. I can provide those if you find them useful.
Finally, there are a bunch of packages in CRAN that provide plottings
using weights (e.g. "weights", "Hmisc",

Suggest changing dirhash defaults for FreeBSD 9.2.
I have been experimenting with dirhash settings, and have scoured the internet
for other peoples' experience with it.
(I found the performance improvement in compiling has forestalled the need to
add an SSD drive. ;-)
I believe that increasing the following values by 10 would benefit most FreeBSD
users without disadvantage.

Boot() Package Question: Multiple Confidence Interval Output
Good Morning:
I posted an initial question a few days ago and I received some good advice from two R experts. I have re-examined the Davison-Hinkley text paying close attention to the examples of the boot() and boot.ci() in that text and the single example of a similar process in the MASS book (not the MASS package manual as I initially misunderstood).
I think I understand how the stratified

Tried that. It rebuilds index based on dovecot-uidlist. But not the dovecot-uidlist based on actual mail data. :(

Can't get 3.1p1 to compile under Solaris 8
OK, I feel like an idiot, but I can't get 3.1p1 to compile under Solaris
8.
Older versions I've gotten set up, but can't with this latest one.
I have followed both the general directions and the directions in
contrib/solaris, and neither one works. Since I have Solaris, here's
the output from the directions in contrib/solaris...

Okay, since the site is slashdotted can someone post a list of mirrors

Printing question
Hello all.
I have a question about setting up samba to serve windows printing.
I have been trying to research this but keep coming up with conflicting
howto's. Can someone give me directions to an up-to-date print howto? It
would be greatly appreciated as I am stuck on this.
Cheers,
Tony

Trouble adding a service principal to keytab
Hi,
I am new to samba and Kerberos so please be gentle!
I have built a samba AD DC (v4.3.5) on Centos Linux from source and am
trying to add a service principal and generate a keytab containing the
principal. However the principal entry does not appear in the keytab.
Here's what I did:

I'm using the VFS sbadow_copy2 module, and I think I've hit a bug. This

path = /srv/SambaTest/share

ACLs set in Windows not honored
Hi All,
I am in the process of trying to build a Samba server to replace our
aging EMC Celerra file server appliance.? The goal, ultimately, is to
build a file server on which we can migrate a file share from the
Celerra (ACL permissions and all) over to Samba, where the file share
can be exported via NFS as well as Samba, AND the permissions we see
in Linux are what we see in Windows (as well as

Samba 3.5.6 pam problems

I've setup Samba 3.5.6 as a member server in a 2003R2 domain with a
single dc, idmapping is by rfc2307 with a tdb backend for builtin
accounts etc, I can list users and groups using wbinfo and I can
create shares and access them from the windows server, files and
folders owned by ad users show the correct user and group names so
mapping appears to be working, I can su to ad accounts but I

wbinfo --ping can't find winbind?
I have compiled 3.5.12 from source on CentOS 5.7. I am using krb5.conf,
smb.conf files that have worked with other 3.5.x installs of Samba (at
least in terms of wbinfo working) but now I am not able to get any data
from winbind. The server is running and the logs don't report any
errors. I had done several 'make uninstall' while compiling/recompiling
with different options. Could

External trust / DMZ (nsswitch vs wbinfo)

GOCORP), without network access to GOCORP domain controllers can
authenticate but not retrieve user information (id) even though wbinfo -n
can resolve a name to SID.

We have two domains, both at server 2003 functional level. GOCORP contains

annoying authentication failure problem: sambatest[ho stname]
Hi Toni,
This error is the result of a test that samba does in the module
"server_validate", (in password.c) to check the password server for a bug
where NT 4 (some versions) would not correctly set the guest bit.
There is currently no smb.conf parameter to allow you to control this
behavior, so to change it , you would need to actually hack the password.c
module to disable it.
