I have the same bad password problem with my windows98 workstation.
I have spent quiet a bit of time analysing this problem but still could not find any resolution.
Did you manage to find any better solution for this problem?

Fw: Session logging in Windows98?
Does anyone have a function such as tee() described below?
It would be nice not to have to go to Emacs and have to deal with yet
another editor.

This is just a self-aggrandizing note to inform you all that my rather
brief introduction to traffic control using tcng and HTB is available now
on TLDP.

I welcome any criticism.

Samba3.0.1pre1 winbind failing against domain groups(ADS)
Winbindd is having trouble finding the Domain Admins group in my domain.
It appears to be searching for the group but does not show what domain
it's looking into - then it tries the local PC (ANC-Gentoo):

missing module dir?
I'm teaching myself about ethernet cards, and found a TLDP page. I have
CentOS 5.3.
In this section: http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Ethernet-HOWTO-2.html#ss2.4
in the 'Driver as module' subsection, regarding PCI cards, it states
that there should be a directory "/lib/modules/`uname -r`/net"

Password Asking in XP
I'm using samba 3.0.1 as a file server, with no domain.
All my users are exacly the same (even case preserving) as
windows logon users.
So I think that when they try to access a share the windows
should first try to send the loged user and pwd, right?
For some reason it is working in some machines and in some is
not. When the user tries to access the share it is asked for
login/password
