Possible memory leak?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm playing with valgrind, and ran it with rsync. I'm really not sure if I'm understanding either the tool or the code, but here is an example. When we're downloading a file in client-server mode, we end up in main.c::client_run(), doing a call to flist.c::recv_file_list(). Around line 1036, we do a malloc of the file list:

HTB bug?
Hi! A couple of weeks ago we started using the Linux TC implementation to shape clients (using HTB) and since then our QoS box started crashing every now and again (talk about inconvenient timing :P). First we suspected hardware, but we replaced the hardware this week and it still keeps crashing. Current machine specs: Celeron 400 MHz 128MB Ram 128MB Compact Flash storage Distribution: stripped

Samba 2.2.8 and NFS together?
Hi All, I have a rather unique (at least from reading the archives) situation that has me stumped, and I'm hoping the gurus can help. Here's my problem, I have a Solaris 2.8 server running Samba 2.2.8 which sits on two networks (no routing between networks). On one side of the Samba server are 100 PCs running a mix of Win95 and Win98 which have touch screens and no keyboards, that are

Backpropagation to adjust weights in a neural net when receiving new training examples
I want to create a neural network, and then everytime it receives new data, instead of creating a new nnet, i want to use a backpropagation algorithm to adjust the weights in the already created nn. I'm using nnet package, I know that nn$wts gives the weights, but I cant find out which weights belong to which conections so I could implement the backpropagation algorithm myself. But if anyone

Solaris 9 + Samba 3.0.2rc1 problem
I thought I got them working and it turned out I still have the same problem. This is a domain member server, joined to NT PDC. These commands are all working Ok: wbinfo -u, wbinfo -g, getent passwd, except getent group. It always stops at some point, I noticed these log messages: [2004/01/19 13:09:56, 10] nsswitch/winbindd.c:winbind_client_read(458) client_read: read 0 bytes. Need 1568 more for

AW: OCFS 1.0.9-6 performance with EVA 6000 Storage
Hi all, Sorry to break in, but I find this thread a bit interesting. Jeram: I'm not very familiar with HP storage and cannot find too much info on the EVA 6000 array. Is it related to the EVA 5000 somehow, or is it a NAS array? In any case, how is the array configured. If the algorithm for hartbeat is as described earlier (36 sector reads and one write per second (per host???)) then you

cross-realm spnego issue in 3.0.2rc1
Hi, I just installed 3.0.2rc1 for testing, and I came across a problem with cross-realm authentication. I joined samba to our active directory domain, and I can see that it has host and cifs principals in windows kerberos. Our organization's primary kerberos realm (CEDE.PSU.EDU) is an MIT kerb5 realm, and we have a one-way non-transitive trust such that windows (server 2003) kerberos

libspeex for other platforms
wouldn't it be a good idea to have the libraray available as a binary for non-PC platforms like the PocketPC, Symbian and Mac? i am suggesting this as it will allow the developers to go ahead and program to an interface while the development continues. there are builds for symbian, pocket pc and linux already in the tar ball. putting their binaries on the download section will probably

Drive problem
I was rsync'ing data from one system to another, and the recipient suddenly started throwing DRDY errors. Now, it's a fairly new WD Red 3TB, and I'd think it was just a bad drive... but I'm really confused by this, from the logs: Jun 15 15:34:43 <servername> kernel: ata3: SError: { Dispar } Dispar? And googling, every reference I find to that word always has something else

[PATCH 0/5] btrfs: add API for btrfs filesystem, check and scrub
Hi, There is one problem: btrfs_filesystem_set_label just doesnt work, giving error message: libguestfs: error: btrfs_filesystem_set_label: /: ERROR: unable to set label Bad address I'm almost sure the patch has no problem, but can't figure out what's the cause. So patch 5 is only for review. Other APIs have no problem. Regards, Hu Hu Tao (5): New API: btrfs_scrub New API:
