Issue with Perl and rpmforge - advice?
I have an old version of rkhunter installed on my CentOS 5 machine, one I got from rpmforge. In my most recent attempts to update this, I get the following errors in yum: Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package perl-AnyEvent.noarch 0:5.240-1.el5.rf set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: perl(JSON::XS) >= 2.2 for package: perl-AnyEvent --> Processing

Can we get a newer version of madwifi on rpmforge?
RPMforge still has: rpmForge: madwifi-0.9.2.1-2.el5.rf.i386.rpm ATrpms has: madwifi-0.9.4-38_r2512.fc6.i386.rpm but requires their patched kernel. I am at IETF this week, and was at IEEE 802 last week. There are over 60 visible access points in most locations (actually not that may APs, but an SSID for b/g, another for a, another for 802.1x TKIP, another for 802.1x CCMP, argh!) and I

Everyone, I am building a gateway server with a new : CentOS Linux release 7.3.1611 (Core)??with 3.10.0-514.2.2.el7.x86_64 kernel. Everything was going find, but I was not able to get a particular cronjob to function properly that contained a perl script with Astro::Time as an include file. Astro::Time was installed with the use of the cpan module downloaded from the Centos repositories. The

perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.35-1.el5.rf.noarch from rpmforge: dependency problem
Hi folks, I hope this is the right mailing list to ask since on the repoforge website there is no list or contact information. I have a problem with updating the perl-Nagios-Plugin package. I have installed perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.33-1.el6.rf.noarch, and running yum update leads to: > Error: Package: perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.35-1.el6.rf.noarch (rpmforge) > Requires:

What ever happened to the dkms atheros drivers/
My OQO boxes have the AR5413 wifi chipset, so for the first time in quite a while, I again need to run madwifi. So I went looking for the dkms madwifi rpms, but could not find them. They use to be on rpmforge, as I recall. dkms is there. So have I lost some memory cells or have these rpms taken a hike?

Yum update conflicts perl-Math-BigInt
I followed the Wiki instructions for setting up *yum-priorities*. I added the rpmforge repo I installed clamd without a problem. Now when I go to update I get conflicts with perl-Math-BigInt. Is the only solution to uninstall the base version and then install the rpmforge version? According the the wiki "Packages from repositories with a lower priority will never be used to upgrade

rpmforge, perl-dbd-mysql, yum, priorities, centos, and you
rpmforge has just released a new perl-DBD-mysql for el4 that has an obsoletes against perl-DBD-MySQL and the protectbase yum plugin doesn't grok obsoletes. the priorities plugin does. so if you are having issues with this, install the yum-plugin-priorities first, make sure that the CentOS-Base repo is priority 1 and the rpmforge repo is priority 2 or higher (99 is the default). also,

I am told by yum localinstall that I need this for TinyCA2. When I search for it, it seems like it SHOULD be part of basic perl package, but it is hard to argue with yum on dependencies.....

rpmforge/dag's perl-Apache-ASP
Has anyone actually had any success in installing the perl-Apache-ASP package from rpmforge? CentOS 4 seems to have just the right combination of almost using mod_perl 2 (1.99 before major API changes) to make this extremely hard to get right while staying with somewhat standard packages. I suspect it's in the repo but not actually tested, as I've tried quite a few combinations of
