Running configure from subdirectory of source tree
Hello everyone,
I would like to seek your advice regarding a build (or rather "configure")
problem I am running into. For reference, tests are all relative to a build
from a 1.8.26.0 tarball, on Debian Wheezy.
I would like to understand if it is possible, and if any of you have tried,
to build Asterisk from a subdirectory of the source tree, i.e., from a
clean source tree

One way trust relationship between Win2k and Samba 2. x.x PDC
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but would it then be possible to
join a "real" NT4 or Win2k BDC to the Samba domain and establish the trust
relation from our other Win2k? Or does the trust relationship have to be
"registered" with the entire domain and therefore all the domain
controllers?

Windows XP domain logons with Samba as PDC - trust relationship problems
Hi all,
I have setup Samba 2.2.3a on Mandrake 8.2 and have domain logons for my Windows 2000 Pro box working perfectly (although I've had to move the profile path to inside each user's home directory to avoid "Access is Denied" errors during logon - suggestions welcome!).
Whenever I try to join with one of my XP boxen though, the domain joining stage works up until it comes

samba - ad domain trust windows 2003 native mode
Hello
Is it possible to establish an interdomain trust between samba
3.0.25c and Windows 2003 Active Directory in Windows 2003 native mode?
According to the howto Chapter 18, last phrase it is not: "It works
with Samba-3 and NT4 domains, and also with Samba-3 and Windows 200x
ADS in mixed mode ".
But Volcker Lendecke replied on a mail in the samba mailing list:

Interdomain trust to Windows 2003 native mode domain ?
Dear list and Samba Team,
It says in the Samba Howto, that it "should" be possible to
trust a Windows 2000 domain, but it needs more testing.
Have any of you made this work ?
I ask because we implemented our Samba/LDAP-3 domain
during the week-end and had to rool back since we couldn't
get the user validation to a trusted Windows 2003 native domain
to work.
Samba team,

Windows 7 64 bits with Samba PDC (trust relationship problem)
Hi
I would like to know if anyone has success in making 64-bit Windows Seven
work with a Samba PDC without any problems?
I have a Samba 3.5.6 server running on Debian Lenny. Samba works properly
and is using the LDAP backend, which is integrated with Kerberos, GSSAPI,
etc...
Abount Windows Seven... I changed the registry as recommended Samba wiki,
applied the hotfix to not give the DNS error

Problem with Win 7 and Samba 3.3.10 PDC (Trust Relationship Between Workstation and Domain Failed)
Dear all,
We are trying to install a new Samba server to replace the old one and
support Windows 7 clients. But it doesn't work !
When we try to register a machine into th domain, it seems to be
accepted by the client but we find these messages in samba logs :
> rpc_server/srv_netlog_nt.c:_netr_ServerAuthenticate2(555)
> _netr_ServerAuthenticate2: netlogon_creds_server_check

Interdomain trust between Samba and W2003 ADS in native mode
Hi,
I try to setup a two-way interdomain trust relationship between Samba
3.2.4 and W2003 ADS in native mode (not mixed-mode).
I follow this Samba HOWTO without success:
http://us6.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/InterdomainTrusts.html
All is working fine if i use a Windows NT4 Server instead of W2003 ADS.
Is there something to do on Samba or ADS so that it works ? Security

Zabbix + samba4
Hello there,
I'd like to know if there are some way to gather statistics from samba4,
like quantities of active users and other things that it can offer then
use it in zabbix to generate some graphs and triggers.
I can do somethings in smbstatus of samba3, but i couldn't find anything
like this in samba4.
is there anybody here who could do it?
Thank's a bunch!

PDC: "The trust relationship ... failed" from the beginning
Hi,
When I try a net logon from Windows 7 64-bit Business (don't have any
other Windows machines), I get "The trust relationship between this
workstation and the primary domain failed". The discussion I've found
around the Web regarding this error message seems to be only in the
context of the 30 day password expiry issue, where the solution is to
simply rejoin the domain.

Samba PDC & Groups & Trust relationships & LDAP
Hi.
It's been a while since i got into samba again seriously(about 3
years), about a week ago I decided to dive into it again, I have
Samba 2.2.3a up and going with an LDAP backend, communicating
with the LDAP server over TLS. I established a one way trust
relationship with the local NT4-based domain. It works fine, I
can access network resources and stuff.(I intend to replace

Logging AD domain name in access.log
Hi to all.
Using Samba 3.0.22 on 2 identical systems (SLES 10).
On the first system, Samba logs correctly AD domain name and user in the form DOMAIN+username in access.log.
On the second one, it logs only the username, stripping away the domain name.
The only difference is that the first system is part of a network with a w2003 server acting as a domain controller, while the second machine talks
