TheBat! help...
Hi, I need some help with my TheBat! installation. It seems that the install works for most users (see: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=2704&iTestingId=3730) - except the icons of course. I've got another problem: the account do not seem to be saved. No, more specifically, TheBat! seems to foget that I created an account. The account settings and the

Problem runnin rSymPy
Hi all, I'm having major difficulty using the rSymPy package this week, but I have used it without problems before now. Here is an example of what's happening: > library(rSymPy) Loading required package: rJava > sympy("var('a b c d')") Error in .jcheck() : No running detected. Maybe .jinit() would help. And I have no idea how to fix it. I Have tried re-installing

Runnin SSH on slow CPU (386 40Mhz 8Mb RAM)
Hello everybody, I'd like to use OpenSSH (client & server, for shell & sftp) on an embedded PC with limited resources (processor 386 SX 40Mhz 8Mb RAM). I have Linux running on it. In the past, I tried to use OpenSSH on it just to see if it could work but each connection required an incredible long time to start. I suppose that the key generation is too expensive for that processor.

NT user name doesn't match unix username when winbindd is runnin g
Samba team, I posted the following message on May 30 to comp.protocols.smb, but no one has responded to the posting as of yet, so I thought I'd try this email list. We are testing winbind and security=domain to authenticate NT users on our UNIX box in samba (v2.2.3a). Winbind is working correctly. Wbinfo shows users as domainname+username (we are using "+" as the

Hello, I am a new R user, using version 1.5.1. I am attempting to run R programs from a dos command line (in win2000) and am having problems. My goal is to be able to use R from batch scripts in both windows and also in Linux eventually later. Migrating to dovecot: non-empty mboxes
Hello, I migrate from cucipop to dovecot. Thus I move users' mailboxes (mbox format) to another location. Some POP3 client (for example Outlook or TheBat!) use flag 'Do not delete messages from server'. After the user's mailbox have been moved to a new location all old messages is retrieved again and user get duplicates. Is there a way to avoid such issue? Thanks a lot! --

Trying to re-install ZFS drivers
What should have been a routine upgrade to ZFS 0.6.4.1-1.el6.x86_64 somehow failed, and now I've lost access to a 2T raidz2 array. I've tried removing all zfs and related packages (spl*), then starting fresh. For reasons that have have nothing to do with this problem (I don't think), I'm still booted to kernel 2.6.32-431.29.2.el6.x86_64, and there are no other kernels installed.

Decoding Unicode URLs Properly
Please help, I have an application I switched over to UTF-8, but I am unable to decode URLs with unicode characters in them properly. For instance, if I have "item=Pur%E9ed" as a parameter in my url, when it''s decoded by rails, it returns "Pur?ed" and not "Pur?ed". Is there an easy way to fix my controller to accept these characters properly?

Strange behavior
Hi, I'm using dovecot under fedora core 2. Nearly everything seems to work. Dovecot was easily to configure and is a really smart program. BUT ... I figured out a problem. Whenever I fetch my mails (pop3s) using Outlook, TheBat or Pegasus, the mails on the server will not be marked as read. Sometimes I don't have a nice GUI mail client, than I use pine (I love it, but I won't feed

Wine help for newbie
Hi all - I have a few questions - OK, a million questions, but just a couple today. I hope this is the right list ... I migrated (finally!) from Win7 to OpenSuse 12.1 64bit, KDE4 a couple of weeks ago on a Dell Inspiron laptop dual core Intel cpu/2Gz, 4meg RAM. So in most things I am groping around in the dark. This distro included Wine 1.3.30. I successfully loaded my pet email client,

'nls' and its arguments
Dear R experts! I'd to fit data by 'nls' with me-supplied function 'fcn'. 1) I'd like 'fcn' to accept arbitrary arguments, i.e. I defined it as f(...) {<body>}. (Ok, that's not actually impotant). 2) Second, I would NOT like to supply every parameter in the formula. To illustrate this, let's look at the last example of 'nls' help
