win2000 service pack 4 - samba 2.2.2
Hello, At 5pm today, we had an individual notify me that their 'profile' no longer was accessible from the samba server (solaris 8 , smb 2.2.2). Mess code when encryption
Hi everyone, I have a question about using encryption in Gluster FS. 1.Created a file (file size is smaller than 1k) in the volume?s mount point. 2.Read the file, finally got a mess code. I found that the content I got is from cache and no decryption is operated on the file content, so mess code returns. If I set the following property to off, then everything is OK. performance.quick-read

Samba 3.0 PDC, exchange 5.5 installing service pack 4 fails.
I created a brand new nt 4.0 server with exchange 5.5 server in my samba 3.0 pdc domain with no problems. The exchange server runs fine under the samba 3.0 pdc, but when I try to install exchange 5.5 sp4 on the exchange server the service pack gives me an Dr. Watson error. The exchange service pack makes it through the copying of the service pack files and then modifies the registry settings for

The company mail run on an Exchange server that is most likely part of the NT4 network. Has anybody tried this setup? I did look in documentation and google and found precious little - which to me

Win2K sp4 can't print
Hi, I just installed 2 Win2K sp4 workstations on an otherwise working Samba 2.2.8a network and 2 of the 3 printers are showing "Access denied". What's up with that? I have recently set up an small SAMBA network(just my server and a W2K SP4 Workstation). My Server is acting as a PDC. Printing problems Win2K SP4 on 3.0.x and 2.x
I'm afraid I am stumped, and need some help or pointers. Ever since I've "upgraded" my Win2k boxes to SP4, I've been unable to print to Samba-shared printers (on Solaris and Freebsd). Originally I was running the current 2.2.x, and figured trying to diagnose the problem would provide an impetus for trying 3.0, which I have from beta3 through RC1. That bit of history is
