samba 3.0.1 and ldap backend problem - I can not add new accounts to domain.
Hi !
I cant add any user (person, and machine) to my domain made with
samba-3.0.1, openldap-2.0.27, new samba.schema, smbldap-tools-0.8.3. I
have to migrate from ldap_compact to ldap backend.
Rhea is a ldap server, codo is a PDC from DOMAIN.
To show, what the problem is, look at the following instructions:
root@rhea:~# smbldap-useradd -w loko20
root@rhea:~# getent passwd|grep loko

3.0.0 -> 3.0.1 : group_mapping.tdb perms
Hello,
I'm running Samba 3.0.0 on a PDC server with LDAP.
I tested the latest version (3.0.1) on a test server with the same
config files.
But I get the following message in my logs if
/var/lib/samba/group_mapping.tdb 's mode is set to 600 (like it is set
in my 3.0.0 server).
[2003/12/29 17:59:51, 0] groupdb/mapping.c:init_group_mapping(139)

Group and Client Access Problems w/Samba 3
[Sorry this is so long; I've tried to be thorough. Please CC: any
responses to me, because I haven't gotten any messages from the Samba
list in over 15 hours and am concerned something is awry with my
subscription.]
I have recently set up a Samba 3.0.1 PDC/BDC installation with LDAP
master/slave. It has been mostly successful, however, there are a few
niggling issues that remain.

ldapsam - Failed to open group mapping database
Hi!
I've been trying to install Samba 3.0.2a + ldapSam (Stand-Alone, not
PDC) on a RedHat Enterprise Edition 3.0 as a fileserver. It works fine
but I still get some errors about groups and I can't find the answers in
the mailing list log:
Let's explain the error: When I connect with a W2k client it works
fine, but then if I try to add extra permissions to a file it complains

libgfapi disk locking in virtlockd not working
Hello.
I'm playing with libgfapi network disks, over IB and all is working
fine, but not disk locking (and true rdma transport).
I use virtlockd, and with fuse mount, locking works as expected.
But when i converted disk definitions to libgfapi, locks are not created
(but qemu starts and works fine). I used direct and indirect locking -
same result : qemu working fine, no locks.

[PATCH 08/11] drm: nouveau: remove dead code and pointless local lut storage
The redundant fb helpers .load_lut, .gamma_set and .gamma_get are
no longer used. Remove the dead code and hook up the crtc .gamma_set
to use the crtc gamma_store directly instead of duplicating that
info locally.

[PATCH 2/2] kms/gf119-: always use a 256-entry lut for now
Unfortunately the ABI is a little annoying around almost requiring a
256-entry lut. While that is being worked out, allow proper mapping of
colors in 30bpp framebuffers.

[PATCH v4 00/14] improve the fb_setcmap helper
Hi!
While trying to get CLUT support for the atmel_hlcdc driver, and
specifically for the emulated fbdev interface, I received some
push-back that my feeble in-driver attempts should be solved
by the core. This is my attempt to do it right.
I have obviously not tested all of this with more than a compile,
but patches 1 and 3 are enough to make the atmel-hlcdc driver
do what I need. The rest is

Failed to start CTDB first time after install
Hi,
I am setting up a two node Samba cluster with CTDB in AWS in two different subnets. All IP ports are open between these two subnets. I am initially forming the Samba cluster with one node, then will add the second node after startup of CTDB. I am not using public_addresses for CTDB due to AWS not supporting VIP's. I am using 64bit Amazon Linux with two NICs defined, eth0 as the
