The problem: My smb.conf contains: > [global] > ## Printing > load printers = yes > printcap name = cups > printing = cups > [printers] > comment

Print Problem - printcap file cups
I am using samba-2.2.7-3.7.2 on a redhat 7.2 server with an attached printer which is run by CUPS. It worked OK until I upgraded to samba-2.2.7-3.7.2. Now I can print locally on the server machine, but not from the windows machines on the LAN. The error message on the windows box is " Unable to create a print job." Another error, produced daily when samba is "re-initialized"

Samba Internal Error and Panic
Getting this on a FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE #0: Sat Aug 28 11:56:25 CDT 2004 system when trying to start the smbd process after an upgrade to the newest release. Didn't see anything helpful in the referenced appendix bugs of the Samba HOWTO collection. An attempted smbd -d10 yielded a core dump but no futher info. -------------------------------log
