Samba 3.0.1 and OpenLDAP 2.2.4 with TLS
Hi all, I've been searching the lists and web for an answer but i'm stumped hope some one here has an answer for me. As I'm new to this sysadmin role. I have set up OpenLDAP to authenticate our linux users and exim MTAs. This all works fine with OpenLDAP only providing a ldaps:/// connection on 636. However I cannot for the life of me get samba to speak tls to it. I've seen

We are you using ldap too and the settings are bellow. The network is up as I''m restarting shorewall whilst the machine is running. Any suggestions? Is there no way to

Virtual Server
shorewall-users, I''d like to expose a local NAT''d machine externally but only reachable on that IP. The example documents show exposing a web server on an external ip but that server is also reachable on any other ip that is proxyarp''d by the gateway server. Sorry if it isn''t a very clear description. Any help is appreciated. Cheers -- Martin

nmbd dying
nmbd has been dying on me occasionally. I'm running mandrake 9.2 with samba3-server-3.0.0-2mdk. We've got our users in ldap but I'd seen this symptom previously when I was using an earlier version of samba that didn't support ldap. There is nothing useful in the logs and a PS shows a nmb process still running. This last time around, I had a ptrace running on both nmbd

adaptive bandwidth
Thanks Dragos, I assume I will be setting those parameters during initialization of encoder right? Question is, if connection gets too lossy, how will opus adapt to it? Can it automatically shift bitrate down to minimize impact? Mark from IRC suggests that the app has to be aware of the losses and change it on the fly. Has anybody on the list tried this? [R] [FORGED] R cairo_pdf function does not respect plotting boundaries
Hi (cc'ed to r-devel where further discussion should probably take place) Thanks Lee. I see that problem. R cairo_pdf function does not respect plotting boundaries
Hello all, When producing a plot in R using the cairo_pdf device, the resultant plot does not respect the plotting boundaries. Lines and shaded regions will spill over the lower x-axis and the right-side y-axis (sides 1 and 4). I would like to know if it is possible to fix this behaviour when using 'cairo_pdf' in R? As an example, see the image at this web link:
