VLOOKUP in R - tried everything.
I am attempting to emulate the VLOOKUP function from Excel in R.
I want to compare one column (coll.minus.release) with another
(release.days) to get the number of parasitoid released at that time
(TotalParasitoids).
for example:
coll.minus.release release.days ParasitoidTotal

Just a quick note for a few new features/fixes available on the Mongrel

and configurations for Mongrel.
First, the document is http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/docs/howto.html and
it covers:
* All the start command options including the fresh -G option to
generate a config for -C.
* The format and usage of the MIME type file (-m

yum groupinstall everything
I have seen people on the list say you can yum groupinstall everything yet
when I tried their method, it didn't work
Is there actually a way other than making a script with all the info in it?

5.0: installing everything
I realize that the @everything packages option is now gone in CentOS 5.0
(ix86 and x86_64), but my experiments to date don't show how to
practically simulate the same effect (and I have a good reason for doing
so). I want all packages, all languages. If one installs from CD, and
selects all packages and options, the resulting anaconda-ks.cfg file does
not have a complete package list. For

Webrick, access log, don''t log everything
Is it possible to somehow limit webrick access log (:AccessLog in
HTTPServer). But I don''t want to log access to certain URL, which is
served by specific servlet.
To be clearer - I have a simple servlet, that just response hello and
username of authenticated user, mounted on [server]/hello. This URL is
used to monitor if the server is alive, so it''s accessed every five

I have a machine that is running Shorewall 1.3.11a. Last night it
quit all logging. The "messages" file just ends at 4:20 PM, no

ideas how to start logging without a reboot?
Thanks for your time,

Vendor Everything & Rake
We are considering moving our app to a "vendor everything" model:
http://errtheblog.com/posts/50-vendor-everything
I''m able to get the application to work fine this way, but, rake tasks
don''t work unless I have the gems installed. Some of our rake tasks
use the same libraries that the app does.
What I''d like is a way to do "vendor everything" that

Routing: Language as first part of path, for just about everything
Hi Group
Like others before me have posted to the group, I am trying to
implement routes that have language as the first part of the path,
without having to rewrite just about every url generating statement
across the codebase (my own, plugins, tests, etc).
Let''s start with an example:
map.login ''/:lang/login'', :controller => ''sessions'', :action

Dialplan reload not reloading everything
Good morning,
We recently fell back to the most recent build of asterisk 1.8 down from 11.3 and I believe we've crossed some sort of limit for 1.8. Our dialplan is 515723 entries long with 6263 distinct contexts. Both are loaded realtime via odbc (mysql). Previously at the end of a dialplan reload we would get a summary of how long it took to reload everything. Now it just shows the last line

index everything? (no extensions/no mime-types)
I have around 550,000 files (4.7GB) that I need to index. It is a huge
mix of file types. I don't need access to this via web. I just use for
research locally. For now I do a grep and wait several minutes.
omindex complains of
Unknown extension: .... - skipping
As I have many thousands of files that don't have extensions. (No

Any way to use omindex to index regardless of

Running program in Wine disables audio for everything else
Whenever I run a program using wine, all programs not running in wine (basically, every linux program) lose sound. I can fix this by switching the audio output from my speakers to the speaker built into my monitor (it is connected via HDMI), and which point the sound returns, and then I can switch back to my speakers and still have sound. Though this method works fine, I'd prefer to not have

Wine Opens Everything by Default
Hi,
Recently after downloading Wine and trying to open files, Wine has been opening everything by default.
For example, when I used to open Pictures it used to use one of Linux's image viewers like Gwenview. However, after downloading Wine it's been using Wine, then opens up Internet Explorer, and then opens up the picture.
The same goes for text files. When I try to open a text file,

Asterisk logging everything?
Hi,
Is it possible to keep asterisk from logging exactly everything? I can
do the logger rotate and keep the files small enough, but I think it's
unneccesary to log exactly all data.
File grows by about 5 gb per month!
Thanks!
