Locking problem reported when starting smbd on a second systen!
I was successful installing and configured Samba 2.2.5 on my first Solaris
machine.
However, the second Solaris machine returns errno=11 (EAGAIN ~ Service
Temporary Unavailable).
I have tried to delete the "locks" directory to remove possible "old"
locks - upon startup the smbd create new log files, but the same errors are
reported again. Why only on one of my systems - I

Bind failed: Can't contact LDAP server
With 3.0a15, samba can't seem to connect to the ldap
server. AFAIK the ldap server is working correctly --
it currently authenticates some users for apache.
My smb.conf contains this:

ldap port = 389
ldap suffix = "dc=calmiron, dc=com"
ldap admin dn = "cn=Manager, dc=calmiron, dc=com"

samba 3.6.4 smbd dies on solaris 10 sparc64
Hi list,
Disclaimer: not a subscriber, not a samba expert, just trying to get samba
running on a Solaris 10 system.
We build samba 3.6.4 from source for various platforms. We link against our
own builds of cyrus-sasl 2.1.23, openldap 2.4.23, and openssl 1.0.0h. On
Solaris we also compile against krb5-1.10.1. Builds are done with GNU tools
whenever possible (gcc/ld/make).

smbd hanging on OS X 10.4.8
Hi,
If process all my mounts prior to the "..." bit below. It looks as if
it's hanging while processing some printer config. On that assumption
and since I don't and never have had any printers attached, I've
commented out the '[printers]' section from smb.conf. No section
contains a 'printable = yes'. I've tried with all sections containing
