3.0.0 -> 3.0.1 upgrade causes "Failed to verify incoming ticket!"
OK, I spent a bunch of time reviewing the mailing list from the last month, and I see where this was discussed quite a bit, but there was no conclusive resolution found (that I could find anyway). I have a simple network: one machine running W2K3 Standard Edition, with AD active and in W2K compatibility mode, one machine running Linux with Samba 3.0.0/3.0.1, a number of W2K and WXP Pro

Force NT4 WINS ....
Greetings ... I have a question ... does anybody know how to force a M$-WinNT4 computer to re-register it's WINS if we have restart Samba without having restart the NT4 boxes? Sometimes we have had to stop and start Samba because of lock problems, and then our NT4 boxes don't show up in the Network-Nieghthood until restart. Thanks. Mailed Lee

Hi I saw your post about bug in Samba 3.0.1: Quote: ????A lot of people have complained about unreliable connections to W2K and XP machines. The folowing patch solved the problems for us. Failed to verify incoming ticket
I am running samba 3.0.23d on Gentoo. I have a particularly problematic server that is a domain member of our AD domain. After joining the domain, shares are available and user credentials work just fine. Then, suddenly for no apparent reason, it stops working. And, then again, just as quickly as the problem starts, it goes away. I have looked at this thing as many ways as I can possibly
