Port to SCO Openserver with PAM enabled
Hi all, I'm writing to you becuase I have compiled PAM in SCO (now Caldera) Openserver 5.0.x, and when I tried to use SSH with PAM enabled, y realized that OpenSSH depends on the user to exist en the /etc/passwd, and /etc/shadow databases, or equivalent ones (it uses getpw...() functions to determine validity of the user). In Linux, the simlpe solution is to use nsswitch, but it seems to hard

SCO OpenServer 5.0.6a and missing libncurses.so.4
I've downloaded Samba 2.2.6 (binaries) from SCOs Skunkware site, but when I try and run smbclient I get a message : dynamic linker : smbclient : error opening /usr/local/lib/libncurses.so.4 Killed I've checked and there is no libncurses.so.4 (or libncurses.<anything> for that matter) on the system. I've also failed to find anything relevant in either the list archive or SCOs

SCO OpenServer 5.0.6a and missing libncurses.so.4 (fwd)
You can download Ncurses for SCO OpenServer via ftp://ftp2.caldera.com/pub/skunkware/osr5/vols/ncurses-4.2-VOLS.tar This is a tar archive of media images suitable for installation with the SCO Software Manager (/etc/custom). generate variable y to produce excess zero in ZIP analysis
Dear Mr/Mrs I am Lili Puspita Rahayu, student from magister third level of Statistics in Bogor Agriculture University. Mr/ Mrs, now I'm analyzing the Zero inflated Poisson (ZIP), which is a solution of the Poisson regression where the response variable (Y) has zero excess. ZIP now I was doing did not use real data, but using simulated data in R. Simulations by generating data on variables

Has anyone here installed samba on sco? I might have to install samba on a SCO 3.2 v 5.0.5 server and was wondering if there might be any complications, I'm used to freebsd so I'm not sure what I'm in for.

SCO OpenServer
I think what I need is a prebuilt package. I currently use Samba 2.2.12 running on SCO OpenServer 5.0.6 but I am in the process of upgrading to 5.0.7. Can't move to SCO version 6 because our application isn't guaranteed to work on it. question SCO Unix with WindowNT 4.0
I am using a SCO Unix system version 2.1.2 where I develop some application. This SCO Unix system is connected to a TCP/IP network. On the same segment also a NT 4.0 server is running. This NT server makes each day a backup of some directories on the NT server. what I want to realise is, make a NFS directory on the SCO unix server pointed to the NT server. So that the applications developed on

SCO remove() and unlink()
There was a patch merged in on 9/29 that changed remove() calls to unlink(): - (djm) Merged big SCO portability patch from Tim Rice <tim at multitalents.net> Does SCO's libc not include remove()? Note that sftp-server.c is currently using remove. The reason I ask is I'd like to keep the portable tree as close to openbsd as possible, and if we need remove() for SCO we should

openssh-2.9.9p2, AC_SYS_LARGEFILE, SCO, and HPUX
openssh-2.9.9p2/configure.in says: # Disabled until it works on SCO and HPUX #AC_SYS_LARGEFILE As an autoconf maintainer I'd like to fix this. Can you please explain what's broken on SCO and HPUX? I'm puzzled by the comment, as AC_SYS_LARGEFILE is a feature introduced in autoconf 2.50, whereas openssh-2.9.9p2/configure was built with autoconf 2.13. Anyway, some older GNU

OpenSHH on SCO Open Server 3
Is anyone still using OpenSSH on SCO Open Server 3? My clients no longer run Open Server 3. The entropy gathering code changes have broken the Open Server 3 build. If there is still interest I'll work on it. If not, I have no need for it. -- Tim Rice Multitalents (707) 887-1469 tim at multitalents.net
