Migrating rails 1.0 app to 1.1 - Noob question
Hi all, I''ve upgraded my system to Rails 1.1.1 successfully. After much looking I haven''t found out how to migrate an existing application to a new rails version though. What is the procedure, if any, for upgrading the application I''ve developed in 1.0? Is there a script I need to run? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

roaming profiles, not roaming
using samba v3 windows xp sp2 clients. i have profiles working to some extent, that is when i create a new user on the server, when that user logs in, the profile gets downloaded from the server from the /etc/netlogon/default user directory. any customizations that the user makes work just fine and get saved to the profiles share under profiles/username when the user tries to go to a different

GlusterFS, Pacemaker, OCF resource agents on CentOS 7
Hi guys I'm wondering if anyone here is using the GlusterFS OCF resource agents with Pacemaker on CentOS 7? yum install centos-release-gluster yum install glusterfs-server glusterfs-resource-agents The reason I ask is that there seem to be a few problems with them on 3.10, but these problems are so severe that I'm struggling to believe I'm not just doing something wrong. I created

Practical limit on dial prefixes for a route
Colleagues, We're in the process of standardizing on Sprint PCS and Cingular phones on a national basis (~ 50 properties, 1000's of lines). I manage an Asterisk install at one location. I've been looking at the Multitech CellFinder CDMA for Sprint as a dial backup solution. Basically, it's a CDMA to POTS gateway, tied to a PCS account. We would see it as a trunk line and I

summary( prcomp(*, tol = .) ) -- and 'rank.'
Following from the R-help thread of March 22 on "Memory usage in prcomp", I've started looking into adding an optional 'rank.' argument to prcomp allowing to more efficiently get only a few PCs instead of the full p PCs, say when p = 1000 and you know you only want 5 PCs. (https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2016-March/437228.html As it was mentioned, we already

summary( prcomp(*, tol = .) ) -- and 'rank.'
I agree with Kasper, this is a 'big' issue. Does your method of taking only n PCs reduce the load on memory? The new addition to the summary looks like a good idea, but Proportion of Variance as you describe it may be confusing to new users. Am I correct in saying Proportion of variance describes the amount of variance with respect to the number of components the user chooses to show? So

Large number of prefixes in a route to a trunk
We're beginning to test MultiTech's CallFinder CDMA Units, one for Sprint PCS and one for Alltel. They sell both. Our intent is to use them as a backup line for our main office (which has a PRI) and a backup/911 line for our remote offices which are all connected via * over a VPN with no local trunks at any of them. In the interest of maximizing use of the lines, I'm putting

Building LLVM's fuzzers
(kcc, george: sorry for the re-send, the first was from a non-list email address) My configuration for building the fuzzers in the LLVM tree doesn't seem to work any more (possibly as of moving libFuzzer to compiler-rt, but there have been a few other changes in the last week or so that may be related). I'm building with a fresh top-of-tree clang and setting -DLLVM_USE_SANITIZER=Address

WINS clients fail to release/refresh records with Samba WINS server after reboot
Hi all, We are running Samba 3.0.2a and using it as a domain controller and WINS server. After rebooting the server, we are unable to reach (i.e. looking up machines by name) some of our network PCs (Windows 2000 boxes), due to failure with WINS look up. I investigated the wins.db file, and those Win boxes are not listed in there. If I use the command "nbtstat -RR" on those PCs to

Worked examples?
I've been experimenting with Samba a bit. I won't claim to know a whole lot about it, because I don't, and I'm even somewhat of a newbie when it comes to Linux/UNIX. But I've been working with the worked examples that the HOW TO docs describe on the website, configuring my smb.conf file as is stated. I'm running Samba 3.0.14a-2 on Fedora Core 4, and I'm running into a

Howto create hd image with bootable (Free)DOS system
Hello, I have to update the BIOS of several hundreds of geographically distributed PCs. Since we are using PXELINUX for years to install the OS (Linux) on this PCs PXELINUX is my first choice for doing this job. The vendor of this PCs provides a bootable ISO image for the update. Because of the size of the firmware it is not possible to use a FD image (not even 2.88MB). But in the documentation

[newbie]: Samba as a server for Win98 PCs
Hello I do apologize for sending a newbie question but I need to know for sure if what I am planning is worth spending the time. I have 12 Win98 PCs with public IPs connected to the Internet. I want: 1) Turn one of the PCs to a linux box with samba. 2) That the linux PC provides login access to the other PCs. (I want to eliminate the possibility of the users log in a Win98 PC and wreck
