but I throught that it should ... is there something wrong
with my installation ... another reason I ask, is because I

Second Posting! Please reply - Need HELP!!
I am first time SAMBA user. System information:
Unix = HP-UX 11.0
Network = Windows 2000
Things that I did:

ZAP TDM and DTMF issue
Hi,
I'm curious if there is any other option beside relaxdtmf in zapata , or any where else to tune dtmf detection on TDM400 fxo boards.
in one of our sites provider is giving us 4 analog lines out of Adtran router and Asterisk often recognize DTMF wrong.
Obviously playing with relaxdtmf was not helpfull.
What do we know anout 1.2 and 1.4 DTMF handling diffrences?
At this time i'm using

meta-analysis in R
I would like to combine time-series data to test for correlations and
interactions using random and fixed effects meta-analysis.
So, I am looking for the right packages and documentation.
I know about meta and rmeta packages of R.
Are there any more? What are the diffrences in brief?
Can you please suggest some references that could be used as a guide for
meta-analysis in R (or S-plus)?

Issue providing seamless migrtion (3.0.24 to 3.5.6) - sambaNTPassword mystery
Hello everyone,
I am operating a migration of samba from 3.0.24 (mysql passdb backend)
to 3.5.6 (openldap passdb), samba working as a domain controller (PDC)
and file share. The main challenge is to provide a seamless migration
for users.
For this new version, I am using smbldap-tools 0.9.6, nss_ldap, openldap
2.4. Everything run on FreeBSD 8.2.
To get used to samba, I have managed to make

vorbis+flac compression
It seems, that oggenc-ing audiofile, and then flac-ing diffrences
between original file and vorbis compressed file gives a little better
compression than simply flac-ing. I've tested it on one file only:
file.wav 55829468 bytes
flac -8 file.wav
file.flac 37924329 bytes (0.6793 of original)
oggenc file.wav
file.ogg 4784799 bytes

Factor Analysis.why is it so ?I used standard factor analysis functions
like:--
factanal(m, factors=3, rotation="varimax")
princomp(m, cor = FALSE, scores = TRUE, subset = rep(TRUE,
nrow(as.matrix(m))))
print(summary(princomp(m, cor=TRUE),loadings = TRUE, cutoff = 0.2), digits =

Win2K unable to connect to 3.0.1 shares
I've been having an issue that's been discussed at some length here on the
list, but I haven't found a definitive solution to it. The problem is the
Win2k connection failing when attempting to connect to Samba 3.0.1 shares in
a Win2k3 Active Directory domain.
I've installed MIT-Kerberos 1.3.1 and done all the configuration. I'm
running winbindd. The following commands work

[PATCH 0/2 v2] RFC: builder: support for Simple Streams metadata
Hi,
this series adds a basic support for Simple Streams v1.0 metadata
files. This makes it possible to create a repository .conf files with
[cirros]
uri=http://download.cirros-cloud.net
format=simplestreams
to read the latest version of each CirrOS image.
TODO items:
- check the pasted metadata: listing and creating images works,
so most of the current metadata is correct
- possibly wait

I've been discovering the joys of Samba/ADS integration here

which only run in Windows. Winbind, and a Linux based
NAS server are the cornerstone through which Windows and
