Problems with printers
I'm having a couple of problems getting samba to process
/etc/printcap properly. The printer definition lines of my
/etc/printcap are:

samba 3 mandrake rpms...where is net tool?
I installed the RPMS from samba web site for Mandrake 9.1.
Configuration is weird as things are labeled smbd3 or winbind3...
Testparm runs against /etc/samba/smb.conf yet swat configures the
smb.conf in a different location...hmm....
But really my problem is joining the AD domain as a member server. I
can't locate the net tool.
How is this done?
How does testparm know to test against

I am having the same problem as well. This is just an educated guess, but I
think the problem has to do with the "in-memory krb5 keytab support" Anyone
have any workarounds?

s3.0.0: problem getting usernames for a DOMAIN from win2000 and winXP's user configurator
Hi, we use a samba3.0.0b3 as PDC here. It's running smoothly, but one
problem persists. When I'm trying to add new users to a (local) windows
group "administrators" and select the DOMAIN instead of the computer
name, it waits a few second and then reports in gray: "No objects are
available in this location. Select another location."
this is in the logs:

Error when Synchronising
Sir,
I've just install SuSE 9.0 and am running their Samba 2.8.8a-SuSE version of samba and am encountering the same problem with my windows 2000 pro machine when I attempt to access printers offered by the samba server. Windows 98 has no problem with the printers but Windows 2000 gets this error.
Did you ever resolve your issue? If so would you share your solution with me?
Thank you,

FreeBSD + winbindd + PAM
I've been trying for a couple of weeks to get FreeBSD + winbindd + PAM
working, without success. I'm hoping that someone here has bumped into my
problem before and has some advice to give.
My current setup is winbindd from Samba 2.8.8a on both FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE
and 5.1-BETA. I've configured Samba with the following options: syslog,
nocups, utmp, msdfs, quota, recycle, audit,

Restarting Lighttpd for each change? Error logging?
Hi,
It seems that for each change that I make in my camping application, I
have to restart lighttpd to make it work.
Also whenever something goes wrong, a syntax error in my camping
application for example, things just stop working and I can''t see any
error messages in the lighttpd logs or any other log.
I just followed the instructions to use Camping with lighttpd on the wiki.

How to reload classes in lib/ without restarting server
Hi all,
We have a class extending a class from a plugin. We didn''t know where to
put it exactly, but the lib/ folder seemed to make sense.
Problem is, it doesn''t reload the file for each request, so it makes
development mode difficult (have to restart the webserver with every
request).
Any advice on how to make it reload?
Thanks in advance!

How to make rails reload vendor plugins in dev without restarting the server
I am tinkering with one of the plugins I downloaded. Without restarting the
server any changes to the plugin in the vendor directory is not reloaded. Is
there a way to reload the plugins without restarting the server.

Puppet keeps restarting apache...
Hi all,
I''ve got a problem when using the Apache2 recipe https://
reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/Recipes/DebianApache2Recipe.
Puppet is enabling modules and sites on every run, which in turn
triggers a reload of Apache. I''ve figured out, that it must be the
unless line in the exec statement that''s causing the problem:
unless => "/bin/sh -c
