Asterisk returning 403 Forbidden response
Hi all, I have configured Asterisk using database. The real time is working pretty well. That is asterisk is picking up details of peers and the extensions as well properly from the MySQL database. -- Executing Wait("SIP/bharat-f720", "2") in new stack -- Executing NoOp("SIP/bharat-f720", ""Welcome to Asterisk"") in new stack

AIC7901 RAID320 with CENTOS4 not recognized
An INTEL Server motherboard model SE7501BR2 with an onboard Adaptec AIC7901 controller (with HostRAID) is not being recognized by CENTOS 4. The AIC79xx driver loads correctly, however it does not "see" the fact that I used the HostRAID onboard software to create a RAID 1 set. I went to the INTEL site and only found a driver for RHEL 3.0 and I was unable to find a driver on the adaptec

OS X drops Win 2003 shares
I can mount Win 2003 shares on my Macs fine. However, the shares disappear after a while. This behavior is unlike on XP where the mounts stay attached forever. The session timeout on 2003 doesn't matter. It works that way out of the box, and after reconfiguring samba on the MAC to join the windows domain. I think it happens when the MAC goes to sleep and after waking up tries to

Samba, VPN, and Mac OSX 10.4.2
We're having an odd problem with connecting to Samba shares over a VPN with a Mac client. We have several Mac clients connecting to a Samba 3.0.10-1.fc2 installation. Prior to upgrading them to Tiger, everything worked fine both local and over an IPSec VPN. After upgrading to Tiger, they still work fine when on our LAN. But if they try to connect to a share over the VPN, Finder hangs.

Have successfully joined domain with 'net join ads' getent passwd lists local unix users and win2k domain users successfully I've mapped a DOMAIN+user_group to unix user_group, which 'net groupmap list' shows successfully I have tried various ways to give DOMAIN+user.name access to the share, by changing

RH9 and h323.conf
Hello everybody, First time installer and I need the lists advice. My plan is to use asterisk PBX with some hardware to terminate my calls coming from several operational gnugk gatekeepers. Do have RH9 and downloaded the latest asterisk from CVS. Compiled according instructions and is running fine. Could hardly find any info on h323 implementation untill the REAME in the channels directory.

general questions about R on debian/powerpc
Hi, I am about to but a laptop, and have narrowed the choices down to a Dell Latitude 600 and an Apple Powerbook G4 Aluminium (Princeton provides these models at a discount for grad students). I am biased towards the Powerbook, and would like to run Debian on it. I have only used debian on i386 platforms so far. I use R quite frequently, so I would be interested in your experience of running R

emergency- machines kicked off network after PDC 2.2.8->3.0.0 upgrade
After upgrading our PDC to 3.0.0 last night(and confirming logins worked properly)...this morning, we had two machines report errors says the machine account does not exist or has been changed. Last night, users- even ones who had not been on that particular workstation before- were able to login on at least 6 out of 30-40 workstations. All configuration files were moved over, including the

What is Samba speed?
Hi, what is Samba speed limit? I usually get maximum throughoutput about 3-4 MBytes/s reading from Samba, 2-3 MB/s writing to Samba server. (IDE discs, but 256 MB memory, Athlon 900 MHz, one 500 MB file, 100 Mbit network). What are your results? Does anybody knows about some performance tunings? I have adjusted only this: socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=16384 SO_SNDBUF=16384 write cache

Apple cannot connect to RHLinux Samba
Hi All I have a working samba server on RH Linux 7.3 (samba v2.2.4). My shares and printers can be connected and used by my W95, W98 and XP clients - no problems there. However, my Apple (Powerbook G4 running OSX 10.1.4) cannot connect using the Connect To Server option: smb://10.0.1.200/data Or smb://alan@10.0.1.200/data The nmblookup -B MAC_MACHINE '*' command does not see the Apple

Can't connect to MySQL on another machine
hi everyone I''ve got two machines here: a Powerbook and a Linux box running MySQL. The MySQL user privileges seem to be configured properly, e.g. I can connect to a database using "mysql" from the Powerbook, alter the tables etc without any problems. However, I can''t get Rails to connect to the same database. (just a simple app with one model called "Test"

OpenSource Nicecast project - anyone interested?
Hi all, I'm a newcomer to this list, but I thought people may be interested in my current project, an open-source equivalent of Nicecast. It's intended to let you stream live audio over your home network, and is currently working nicely between my Powerbook and Linux PC. It works by using the Soundflower dummy audio driver to grab all audio from the Powerbook, then my program uses

Bonding Eth interfaces - unexpeceted results

Why do the physical interfaces report (correctly) that they're negotiated at 1000Mb/s, but when I `cat /proc/net/bonding/bond0` I get 100Mbps for the member interfaces, and when I ` mii-tool bond0` I get 10Mbps for the bond? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ethtool em1 Settings for em1: Supported ports: [

Development Environment
I want to be able to code my rails apps either on my Desktop mac or my Powerbook using textmate. I want to build a Debian server that runs lighttpd, rails and mysql. Would I use samba on the server and access the files that way through TextMate or is there something else that folks use? and should I use subversion and if so, how would I do that in the scanario I''m describing.
